A day at My Little Attic...

This trip to MLA was a one-month long planned with the Scrapaholics. I never miss any event of MLA, I don't know why but I know I have to be there to learn new things and get some new stash. I also love the smell of Nette's house, it's so nice because it doesn't trigger my rhinitis and I can stand it for the whole day. Here's what I got myself for my pre-birthday treat...

Got some bazzill polkadot cardstocks and BG- Urban Prairie, Wassail and Granola papers. Forgot to post some Prima flowers and the MM tiny white alphas. And I also got some things for my presents to my cousin and sis-in-law, secret!

There were two challenges for the day... a mini album and an acrylic layout. I don't know much about acrylic sheets, but since the lessons thought by Donna, Yoyin and Cookie were about alcohol inks and glimmer mist, I got so excited to try my hand again. My first time to use acrylic was during the finale of Idol 1 and I wasn't really successful. Here's my take for the MLA's challenge 2...

Guess what?! I won the acrylic challenge! I used here Chatterbox Botanico pps, glimmer mist courtesy of Helga, alcohol inks and Prima flowers from Dra. Chiqui. Thanks Cookie for your generosity as always. And now I adhered my acrylic on a white cardstock, I'm sure Kuya will be happy that I won again because of his photos... hehehe!

Scrapwords' Online Crop...

...It started around 9 in the evening Philippine time last Saturday and so that means I didn't sleep that night! I did 6 layouts, 2 cards and 1 altered item until Sunday afternoon. But that's okay because I had fun and it was my first time to join a 12-hour online challenge. I missed 3 challenges... a christmas page with 5 memories about the holiday, an altered item with glitters or bling and a tear challenge where everything has to be torn, yes including the pictures! The idea was to add points everytime you submit a layout or answer a mini challenge. As of this morning, I earned 41 points! Can't wait for the results and earn that "Queen of the Crop" blinkie from Scrap Words. Here goes...

This was actually the second challenge of Donna, alter something to record holiday memories or things you do or did during the holiday season. I made this tin can mini accordion album in less than an hour, I changed the cover of it three times because I don't have much christmas embellishments to match.

UPLB...This was for Hour 2 challenge hosted by Donna. The challenge was to scrap something in nature near your home. I have this last photo of our UPLB pictorial, look at my kids...they were immitating the pose of the UP Oblation.I finally used my MM Passport papers and brads! Thanks Wati for this yummy RAK.

Loyal...Here's a sketch challenge for Hour 3 hosted by Missy. I have here my cousin Donna's dog named Daphne. Love this picture!

Bloom...This was Leslie's challenge for Hour 4, use 4 scraps of patterned papers and use it with one solid cardstock for the base of the layout. I scrapped my Auntie Linda and my cousin Nancy in a blooming garden. Just little remembrance of my cousin's visit to our Auntie's home in Delaware last September. I was under time pressure and it was already 3:30 in the morning when I was doing this page, but I was just so happy with my output.

Christmas cards was next for Hour 6 hosted by Missy.

Halloween...The use of a large circle in a layout was Marcie's challenge for Hour 7. I scrapped here Cheche's nephews celebrating halloween in New York City.

United Nation's Day... This one was for Hour 10, a color challenge using red and blue colors hosted by Missy. I scrapped Chuy's photos during the UN celebration in school. I was so happy with this because it was Chuy's first time to participate in a school activity and he was no longer shy.

A thank you card using light pink and brown colors was for Hour 11 hosted by Timi.

Wish... I made this for Hour 12 challenge hosted by Timi. Its a recipe challenge actually and here are the ingredients I chose... grilled fish stands for use patterned paper for the base, strawberry shortcake means to scrap just one photo, soda stands for 3 flowers, pumpkin soup means to mat your photo and finally, vegetable salad means the journaling should be exposed. I made this LO for baby DK and his parents.

More of my Pamangkins...

Bed weather! Its so bad I want to go to bed and sleep always! I'm so lucky to stay at home during weekends (actually its my second weekend now!)... and I'm just lucky I can join online crops and SCRAP my backlogs! Here's another batch of layouts about my nieces and nephews... I just love doing this for them!

Love Cannot be Measured...specially for the spoiling Lolo and Lola! My Auntie Linda would tell me stories about how adorable her grandchildren are... Oh I haven't seen this kids since they were born. I wish I can see them soon! These kids have 1/4 of Filipino blood, well they don't look like Pinoys but they know some tagalog words like they call their grandparents "Lolo" Bill and "Lola" Linda... Katuwa ano! I used here DCWV cardstocks, 7 Gypsies measuring tape pps, MM fabric swatches and transparent sticker, Heidi Swapp chipboard clock face, flowers, buttons, DMC thread and Hambly transparency.

Had fun doing this in less than an hour for an Ad challenge. Its my first time to join here! I love the flow of the design, made me think fast to create this page. I also like the colors, but unfornately I cannot find a red fabric that can match.

Bless You... Here's my latest layout for Baby DK. Its been awhile since I last made a page for this little hippo, I still have some photos to scrap for him specially his beach poses. This was taken during his baptismal ceremony last August 30. I took me two days to finish this page because I don't have much lime colored papers for a monochromatic and white challenge... I just hope this is just okay?! I used here white cardstock for the base paper and my titlesand matting, lime colored papers which I don't know the brands (sorry!?), Maya Road chipboard birdie, bling, Prima flowers, brads, antique metals flowers, Cosmo Cricket pps for the leaves cut outs, and DMC thread. Guess what! DK is coming over tomorrow, now I have this for a little take home for his parents.

Nephew and Nieces...

Weekend again! And that means serious cleaning around the house! But before I started my chores, I secretly peep in the computer to see if Mystical Scrapbooks Cybercrop's challenges were up. And as I continued cleaning, I was already thinking of what to do with a challenge page.

I had printed some nice shots from my cousins Ronald and Nancy's vacation in US. I wanted to scrap these for my nieces Sadie and Maggie and nephew Graham, soon I will be sending these to them for their mommies' keeping. Here goes...

Shy Boy... This little man is my nephew Graham and he's 5 years old last September 23. He is sooo cute, but he is just toooo shy too. I made the tree all by hand and its my first time to use my Hambly tansparency which I got from Visual Creations. I used here Tres Chic pps, Kaiser Craft pps, cardstocks, AC Thickers vinyl letters, MM paint, Brillance black ink, Sandylion stitches stickers, and my Pink Paisley stamps prize.

Go! Go! Go! Graham... He loves basketball just like his Dad Seth. And this is my first time to do a 12x6 layout, what do you think of my page? I scrapped this for Mystical's 3rd challenge. I used here white cardstock, pastel and hearts pps, chipboard, checkered ribbon, heart buttons, DMC threads and 7 Gypsies cardstock stickers.

Maggie Wants to Rock...Maggie turned 8 last September 12 and she had a Hanna Montana Rock Party. I used here DCWV Rockstar pps, ribbons, AC Thickers foam and vinyl letters, carstock, glittered glue and a journaling tag from Timi. This is my entry to Pinoy Scrapbookers' Kaya "week 1" challenge of Marj. And that's the best bow I can make!

Party... continues! I had the shots printed small so it will all fit in a page. I made this page for the Mystical's blind scrapping challenge hosted by Sara. I used here DCWV Rockstar pps, DCWV cardstock, old rose ric rac, AC Thickers vinyl letters, tag from Timi, ticket stamp from Helga, Prima flowers and chipboard embies, Heidi Swapp sticker and brads.

Li'l Lady... This little beauty is Sadie and she's 3 years old... isn't she pretty?! I used here DCWV cardstock and pps, ribbons, buttons, DMC thread, Prima flower, brad and Brillance black ink.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend...

Scrappin Kids' "Bloodline" November...

It's bonding time here in Scrappin' Kids... Challenge #14 is up at the blog, so please check it out here.

Here's my take for this month's theme...

TIA
Here's a layout about the bonding moments of my eldest son Luigi and his Auntie Janice. Luigi is the eldest nephew in my father's side and became my cousin's favorite for quite awhile. Luigi would always ask his aunties and uncles to meet during weekends to bike, play or just simply cook out for fun. I just hope he grows up to be really close to them with the love for relatives and elders. I used here Dream Street pps, cardstocks, glittered glue, Prima flowers, gold wire, AC Thickers glittered chipboard letters, gold brads and MM acrylic paint.

I want to thank everyone who joined the SK Marathon @ 9 last week... and Congratulations to the winners Feli from Singapore, Vivs from Brunei and Helga from the Philippines!

I won the Kaya Challenge!!!

I was away from the computer for 2 hours last night, because my Mom and my brother were talking to my other brother in Dubai. Cookie called me up finally, well maybe because I don't answer her buzz! Woohoo... feeling ko parang nilipat na ni Cookie ang Idol crown nya sakin...hahaha! But honestly, its been quite awhile since I last won in a challenge that's why I am soooo superrrr happy for this "win". And its my first time to win in Pinoy Scrapbookers' Kaya Challenge and another first time to win a RAK. Oh, do you know that I submitted my entry an hour before the due time? Swerte ko... as in!

Journaling reads... After 5 months in school, you suddenly showed off what you'd learned by writing the numbers on the sand. Mommy was so proud of you, all my daily sacrifices of bringing you to school was all so worth it! I used here MM Hillary stamp pps, Creative Imagination shells pps, cardstocks, dried starfish, Provocraft shells stickers, AC Thickers glittered chipboard letters, 7 gysies cardstock stickers and Tim Holtz ticket.

I want to take the opportunity to THANK Marix and ScrappersatSG for the wonderful RAK! Cookie for that extra push and Lee for staying up late to upload my entry. Salamat PS!
