It's my Second Time...
Yup! I won last week's ad! So happy that my Bulaklakan layout made it! And so, here's this week's Ad... its all about color! For each color you use, the next time you use that color it must be from a different company. So if you are using blue pattern paper, the next thing in blue must be something else besides pattern paper. Like ribbon, flower etc. Here's my take...
At 40...
I don't feel like I am 40 years old, hehehe! But that's the truth, I turned 40 last December. That's okay, because at my age now I can see the real picture of life... its fun, fulfilling and still challenging. I used here Bazzill polkadot cardstock, Prima Urban Cosmos pps, flowers, blings and brads, MM Falala pps, Ki lace cardstock, Sandylion formal stripes pps, glittered glue, AC Thickers vinyl letters, cardstock, Colorbox fluid chalk ink and WRMK metals.
Thanks for coming over...
An afternoon with the Scrapaholics...
... means scrapping time and a layout! We celebrated Rita's Birthday last Saturday and after a lot of munching and chatting, we settled to scrap in her beautiful pink scraproom! So great to get working with friends again, I miss moments like this! You know... just sit down, talk about anything while scrapping, ask your seatmate if your embie is in the right place and after you know it, you're done with your layout. Oh well, I wasn't able to finish because of my journaling but I made sure that was the only one missing.
Hatty Holidays
I used here Websterpages pps, BG pps for my photo mats, cardstocks, glittered glue, Ranger glossy accents, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, gold brads, ribbon, plastic snowman embie and a Little Yellow Bicycle cardstock christmas sticker from Mich. It was actually my first time to enjoy a websterpage!
We had a great afternoon, you can see more at the Scrapaholics' blog! Thanks for looking...

Ad Inspired...
I always admire the team behind ad this blog site. They come up with great ads that awaits each and everyone's inspirations and creations. Here's my take for this week's ad...
Bulaklakan or Flowers in english is a folk dance here in our country. The ladies dance with this bended kawayan or bamboo sticks decorated with colorful flower. This was Chuy's school dance presentation held last December at the UPLB Auditorium. The MSMSI pre-school department had this "Pilipinas... Biyahe Tayo!" or Explore the Philippines presentation capturing the different festivities and dances around our country. It was really nice to see these little kids all dressed up and danced!
I used here Prima Urban Cosmo Collection-Colony, Suburb and Cosmo pps and orange laces, Ranger glossy accents and crackle paint, chipboard, cardstocks, and Colorbox fluid chalk ink. And for this week's Ad requirements, use 5 different kinds and brands of embies... I used fibers, flowers from Prima, chipboard from Scenic Route, pearl grommets or conchos from All about Scrapbooking, and embroidery threads from DMC.
I'm still a little slow in scrapping right now, thanks for looking anyway!

Save Up some Brown Bags...
We had an online tutorial at Scrappin' Kids last night... we made another mini album using brown paper bags. While I was covering and embellishing my album, I thought of doing something else aside from the usual mini album. I thought of giving the pockets in between another purpose. Since we are four in the family and there are four pockets available, I thought of making a "Save Up" pouch that I can keep each of our bank books and gift moneys. Here's what I came up with...
I used here 5 pieces brown paper bags of the same size, BG Lucky papers, adhesives, ribbons, Prima flowers, fabric covered brads and pearl and jeweled grommets, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, cardstocks and playing cards. Try making one too, its really nice!

I'm Scrapping...
My scrapping mood is slowly coming back after the holidays... Yippee, I am sooo happy to finally scrap again! My workplace is slowly piling up and I'm starting to stay up late. I never forget my resolutions for the year... work, work and work! And forget about the word "laziness"! Here are my first 3 layouts for the year...
Summer Capital Holiday
I was still lazy, but at least I tried to scrap and joined the Mystical Scrapbook's online crop last weekend. I only made one layout out of 4 challenges. The theme for the crop was outdoors or summer, since I have to scrap my holiday pictures I just used the word "summer" and scrapped our Baguio photos. Here's what I've done...
Bonds
I love these photos of my brother and little Chuy! I used here Dream Stree pps, Making Memories pps, DCWV pps, cardstocks, Prima flowers, buttons, chipboard embies, DMC thread, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, fibers and Ranger glossy accents.
Pasko 2008
Pasko means Christmas in Filipino. This photo was taken during the recent holiday. Each year, I would ask the boys to have a family picture by the tree and here's the blast pictorial! I used the July 2008 sketch of Creative Scrappers here. I used here Teresa Collins pps, Scenic Route pps, cardstock, Yellow Bicycle Christmas Magic Collection (thanks Mich!), AC Thickers glittered chipboard letters, DMC thread, ribbons, resin embellishment (2 year old rak from Rita!), MM tiny alphas, brads and Colorbox fluid chalk ink.
I joined the Brunei Scrapper's Forum months ago and we had a friend's card swap in November. I got this card in the mail yesterday and its from Renoa... thanks Renoa!
Off to my next page! I have to start doing something before my mojo flies away! Thanks for looking...

... Christmas is not yet over!
... and pressie are still coming in! We had a christmas kiddo pressie swap at Scrappin' Kids since December. We are so happy at SK because a lot joined this swap, thanks to the generous Mommies and Kids from Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Australia and of course, here in the Philippines. I thought of gathering up all the pressie and let Chuy open the gifts as soon as everything is in... after New Year, he started asking me why are there gifts sitting under the tree. And so, he wanted to open everything!
He's still the happiest kid even after the holidays! He got lots of candies, toys, pencils, pens, paints and a lot more.
I also got a Card swap... Mich is my mommy for the SK Card swap and here's what she made for me... Thanks Mich!
And finally, my Auntie from US send another box in time for Christmas. The boys are so excited with their new shoes, Chuy loves the blue-black rubbershoes and the transformers robot. I got my artbin! And some more stash, take a look here...
Here's the best part of the box! A LV bag... I super love it! Thanks to my family in US for send us our christmas presents. I want to greet also my Auntie Linda a Belated Happy Birthday, wish she can come home soon.

Scrappin' Kids' Sketch for January 2009
There's a lot of new things going on in Scrappin' kids this new year... and here's the first one! We're having our first sketch challenge that will run until the end of January. Hope you can join us this month for our new challenge. There's a humble RAK waiting for the winner and its from the generous Jasmin Brahim. So link us up to your blog by leaving a comment on this month's post or send us an email with your layout at scrappinkids4@yahoo.com.sg.
Here's my take for this month's sketch... special thanks to our very own Creative Advisor Jessy Christopher for this inspiring sketch. I used here Imagination Project paper, Sandylion paper, blue and black cardstock, AC Thickers glittered letters, string, Thomas Train chipboard embies from dear Wati, Tim Holtz tickets, Ranger glossy accents and Colorbox fluid chalk ink.
Thomas and my Crocs
This photo was taken last December 13 at the UPLB campus. This little boy was so excited to wear his new pair of Crocs and play with his little tank engine
It's blast when this two favourite things come together!
Thanks for looking!
