THANK YOU 2011!

Now is the best time to look back at the last 12 months of the year... Here's what 2011 gave me!

The first kick of the year was my baby boy Lorenzo's 7th birthday celebration. My brother Louie came home to celebrate with us, but needed to leave before the two boys' graduation. Lorenzo graduated in Pre-School and had an academic award in Logical Math-Time Smart Kid. While Luigi graduated in Highschool on March 31, 2011. It was such a great achievement for me and Dodo as well, seeing them achieve another milestone in their lives and praying that their dreams will soon come true. And by June, Luigi entered college at Colegio de San Juan de Letran taking BS Tourism, while Lorenzo is in 1st Grade. We finally gave our 11 year-old home a major make over! From cream, cream, cream everywhere, we have a gray and dark brown house now.

I moved to STI Colleges where I now teach Business Concept and CIWETS subjects. My first semester as a College Instructor was truly a delightful experience and I owe it all to my bosses Mam Emie, Mam Rose and Mam Gie, and to all the STI faculty and staff, specially to Manolo! May bonus pang gala just before I started working again, I got to squeeze a little escapade in Hong Kong and it was an enjoyable trip alone having to see Madame Tussaud's wax museum for the first time. In September, I experienced pain on my right arm which was diagnosed as Tennis Elbow, must be my heavy bag everytime I to go to work?

My Scrapaholic family is continuously growing as we welcomed Helga Tatianna in November. My sisters Liezl, Rita, Ytet, Cors, Timi, Chiqui and Helga are still my best friends for more than 6 years now. These girls never go tired of birthday party gimmicks and overnight crops, I just love them all for that! Then, I celebrated my 43rd Chinese themed birthday along with Nanay Cors. Thank you Lord for another year of life, You gave me bliss and love to celebrate life each year. Another thankful moment was meeting Amy Ela after almost 11 years of absence.

On the right part of my brain, which best describes me hahaha! I opened up Sam Ribbons or Ang Art Ko! via facebook to showcase my craft. My first venture was the hairbows which I love doing eversince I was in college. I learned to make Kanzachi flowers on authentic kimono cloths from my Auntie's Japanese friend. Scrapbooking is still my first love among anything else. I was able to finish 3 mini albums, 70 pieces of hot pot holders, and 213 pages for this year. The passion for papers, flowers, mists and just anything scrapable is still an addiction until now. I'm booked on service for the 1st quarter of the year and still hoping to scrap MORE!

Now, 2012 is 2 hours old already and I am still sitting here and blogging! Me and my family are truly blessed with new endeavors even before 2011 ended. Now, I want to see 2012 with more work, friendship and love, scrapping of course, travel, good health for my family and my Mom and world peace. May the good Lord continue to look after all of us, give us good health and long life to share His Blessings. Now on with our lives, my first plan for the year is to check the graduate school!

Thank You 2011 and Welcome 2012... Happy New Year Everyone! Hugs!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope my Holiday greeting is not yet late! Sorry but I totally forgot... anyway, I posted it on my facebook, I just forgot to blog it! So from my family to yours... Dodo, Luigi, Lorenzo and I would STILL want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2012!

I'm on a two-week vacation from school, but its only now that I finally get to sit on my scrap table and WORK! I'm on an exclusive contract for scrap service for the coming months of my life. You may think that it will be kinda hard, but for me its a BREATHER for my daily routine. I mean, I just love LIFE, and this is my life. Scrapbooking is still here to stay with me.

This past few nights, just before I go to bed, there are some minutes of reminiscing how the year came up with me. I hope to blog it soon before I say my final goodbye to 2011. Okay that's it, have to go back to work for more, more pages!

TFL as always!

Christmas is almost HERE!

... and as the days come closer, it EXCITES me so much! I'm finally done with my handmade Christmas presents and my tree is also up. Just a few more ribbons and bows to make and a few more gifts to wrap, I guess I'm all set for the Holidays!

Yesterday morning, as I opened my facebook... this caught my attention! Becky Higgins' PROJECT LIFE! I fell in love with it at once and searched the net for the nearest store I can get it. I'm gonna have the Turquoise Kit soon, I can't wait for February!

Spend the whole day today making my Zachi Collection headbands, finally used the japanese cloths given by my Auntie Linda's friend. Love the colors and textures of these kimono cloths. And to top it all, I made some mini Christmas boxes for a friend. Used some Prima and MM's Falala scraps of papers and some native twine.

I still have a week at work, one more day for lectures and another one for the Prelims exams, and I'm free to PARTY! I learned to maximize and manage my time properly, so I get to finish much of my Mommy duties, house chores, study time and scrappiness. I'm just happy to accomplish things everyday, I just need to practice it more for the coming 2 years of my life. The boys are having another major exams this week, just good before vacation starts.

Hope Santa sees my wishlist very soon, hahaha! Have to go... TFL!

Crate Paper Class

I had another wonderful time yesterday with my Scrappy friends Ate Liezl, Doc Ritz and Doc Chiqui, and of course, teaching us for the 3rd time is Master Iris Uy! It was almost 6 hours of non-stop scrapping with the new Crate Paper class of the Master. Here's what I made...

Unwind a Bit! Caught Luigi playing with the swing during our fishing last month. He was taking time out of school and texting I guess, hahah! Thought of using a nature pic to somehow compliment this floral page. Love the ruler used here, the layering of embies and flowers, and of course the misting!

Sisters... They are my sister-in-laws, since I don't have a sister, I'm glad I have them both. I love the clock pattern for misting here and the resist papers used for tags were really nice.

Celebration... It's my Mom's 72nd birthday. Captured her moment of blowing her candles and wished her lots more to come! The round chipboard frame was so nice, highlighted by butterfly and flowers all around.

My Cowboy... This was Lorenzo's costume during the recent United Nation's Day in School. Needed to bribe him for just one shot! I know there are lots of flowers for this boy page, who cares! I still love it!

@ 18! Another page to celebrate my first born's 18 birthday. I had to limit my embies here because again its a boy page, but just then, I love the brights that conplimented the birthday feel on this page.

Happy Times... This was taken early this year, I guess during my wedding anniversary in January. We had lunch at Terriyaki Boy, Tagaytay City and took a little pictorial around the area. I had to change a bit of the orientation of my elements because I used a horizontal pic here. Just then, I love this page!

The past week was a bit hectic both at home and at work. Hubby was away for a week now for a 10-day training, that's fine! I got to start making a new set of Christmas presents, put up my tree and wrapped the first batch of gifts, went shopping with the Scrapaholics, had some school activities for my NSTP class and now, still with ITCHY hands I still wanted to scrap! My 2 boys are enjoying some quiet time while their Dad is away, probably more time to play plants and zombies, angry birds and dota on their computer.

This is my birthday week... I wonder what will happen on Thursday! Have a great week ahead peeps and thanks for looking as always!

Work!

A box came in this morning! Came from a very generous client from USA who send a lot flowers, embellishments and journaling tags. Now I can't wait to scrap again!

And here is my work part, I need to create an estimated 148 pages for this set of scrap service. Wow, that's a lot of happy scrapping! Hahaha!

I got an early birthday celebration with my wonderful Scrapaholic family! Along with another celebrant, Nanay Cors and I decided to do a Chinese-Field Trip birthday celebration last Wednesday. The first stop was at the Dapitan Arcade in Manila, we went shopping for ceramics, leather organizers, baskets and Christmas decors. Then the next stop was at Lasting Impression, a one-stop scrapbook store in San Juan. Lunch was at North Park followed by Mobler Store where they got me this great floor lamp which is intended for my scrap area. I love it, thanks mga Lola! And the last and longest stop was at the Noel Bazaar at the World Trade Center. We were out for about 15 hours loaded with shopping, laughing, chatting and girl bonding. We just missed Ytet and Helga!

I'm still working on my handmade Christmas presents, still a lot of boxes to wrap. I'm planning to put up my tree tonight, so wish me luck! School is just doing great and so are my 2 boys. Life is so good today!

Thanks for looking peeps!

Altered Pot Holders

This is what's keeping me on the move this past few days... now I'm running out of the wooden pot holders in the supermarkets. It's just so fun to make and give to friends. Try altering!

Thanks for looking as always!

My Christmas Project

Every Christmas season, I try to make handmade gifts to my family and close friends. I made altered wall clocks, picture frames and calendars, this year I am altering hot pot holders... Its made of light wood, patterned papers, native twine, metal hooks and scrapbook embellishments.

Its Monday again and its our first day in school for the second semester! I can't wait to go back to teaching and exams once again. I had a fruitful sembreak, I was able to clean the entire house, bond with my kids, had a couple of doctor's check ups and therapy for my right arm, finished a scrapbook assignment, eventually working on some more Christmas projects and the most important part was, I was able to REST for almost a month. As I woke up today, I feel I'm ready to go back to work again.

I hope to drop by the mall today... find a good top for a wedding party, find some more pot holders, and do a little grocery for my boys. Starting the week right, so bless me Lord! God bless us all! Thanks for always looking!

Disney Pages!

I am so excited to share these Disneyland pages which I did for service. I wanted to use bright and happy colors here which I don't normally do, hehehe! I wanted to create a cheerful mood to match my clients' cruising experience. I just hope I did justice to these set of photos, here it goes...

I can say that my sembreak from teaching was spent well and I'm so glad to have accomplished a lot of tasks in three weeks. I was able to finish Katherine's 2nd batch of photos, organized my scrap space again and finally found a good storage for my papers, cleaned and sorted Lorenzo's little play area and Luigi's room upstairs. Now my house is ready for the Christmas season, this is my last assignment before 2nd semester starts in a week. Crossing my fingers to accomplish them all!

We had another family bonding since Friday, my sister-in-law's family were here in Laguna! And so was Hayk, she came home from Dubai and stayed with us for a couple of days...
