Sketchabilities #39!

Hello everyone! Welcome to our first reveal for the new year at Sketchabilities! I still have hangover of the holidays and so I decided to scrap Lorenzo's Christmas photos. Here's what I came up with...

2010... Since I'm already working, I feel sorry for spending less time at home. Lorenzo constantly reminded me of putting up our tree as early as October. Christmas season comes early in my house and the boys are just excited about it. So this year, it was a bit late, but the excitement and happiness was just the same... overwhelming! Lorenzo still believes in Santa Claus and was worried his stockings won't fit Santa's gifts. He loves countdowns about anything that excites him, so you can just imagine how "kulit" this little boy is. I used here Fancy Pants pps, corrugated board, Bazzill cardstock edges and chipboard numbers, Scenic Route chipboard and pps, Prima's Antique Mistletoe, 7 Gypsies cardstock stickers, MM shimmer paint and Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist.

The weather is pretty much colder than last month, it feels like Baguio is here in Laguna! Nevertheless, Lorenzo is enjoying the cold breeze and its giving me a hard time waking up for work. 7 weeks from now, Lorenzo will be turning 7 and this is occupying much of my thoughts. I am working on a Toy Story theme party and my first move is to shop for little things for his loot bags and games. I am still searching for his Buzz Lightyear costume and its driving me crazy! Yeah, I am on panic mode now, and I think I am more excited than him, hahaha!

I feel I have finally adjusted on my daily routine in school. Just taking it easy for now and getting ready again for another major exam week. I am still scrapping, I'm glad I haven't forgotten it!

You're not lost, I just changed the face of my blog. Thanks for looking as always! :)

Mini mini!

I'm doing minis this past few days! Some friends are giving them for post-Christmas presents, I guess. They are 6x6 in size, contains 6 pages per album and quite easy to make with the big help of my pink Bind-it-All.

This balances my work in school, after a day of teaching, this clears up my mind and relaxes nerves. First plan for the year is finally moving on... giving our house a facelift! Hopefully it turns out nice and keeps within the budget. Thinking about the second plan, its my little man's 7th birthday coming soon and I have less than 2 months to prepare for it. I'm so excited!

Somehow, still enjoying my fully loaded weekend... Thanks for looking peep!

Nikki Sivil's yummy-ness!

I miss blog hopping! Finally have the time to hop just a day before I go back to work, aaarggh! Visit Ria Mojica's blog here and you can have the chance to win the whole Sugar Cookie collection from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker. The CHA sneak are so nice and I want the Max and Mollie line, the Sugar Cookie is so sweet too... I wish I have the LUCK to win this yummy-ness!

I'm going back to work on Wednesday and I'm sure it'll be a pretty hard fight again because exam week is coming soon. I should be thankful for the 18-day Christmas break I had and that should recharge my energies for the last three months of the school season. I'm gonna miss malling with my boys and the bonding time we had during the Holidays. I'm happy that a lot of my work here at home were done like checking with the bank, saving and backing up my photo files, clearing my folders in my laptop, keeping my Christmas decors in boxes and having a total cleaning around the house. I wish to have a regular scrapping time even though I'm working. Oh well, lots of things in mind but life is slowly going back to normal. The most important thing for me now is to have a positive mind and attitude towards everything.

Oh great, I want to scrap! TFL!

THANK YOU 2010!

Time flies really fast! And now, I am doing a run down again of what had happened for the 12 months of 2010. Year 2010 was GREAT and was very good to me!

The first quarter of the year was my last three months in school and I got a straight 1.25 grade in all my three courses. After that, I took a vacation and did not enroll for summer thinking that I will be back by first semester. Checking with the PRC, my 18 units in Education were enough to take the board, but unfortunately, I got some problems with my birth certificate that's why I wasn't able to get the board exams. Now I get to spend time with my boys... Luigi attended his Junior-Seniors Promenade in February at Ding-Hao Chinese Resto. And he won the Prom Prince title! Lorenzo turned 6 in March and lost his two lower front teeth in June. Our little fairy Garrie turned 1 in May and became the cutest Thinkerbell ever.

My brother Louie came home in September. Spent the whole month with him... went up to Baguio for the second time this year, spent a weekend at White Cove, Laiya and celebrated Luigi's 17th birthday and his despedida at Villa Josefina, Los Banos. Although it was a homecoming of fun, we were sudden about the accident of my first cousin Janice, Buggy and my nephew DK. Thank God they were safe and better now. My three boys experienced their first Trick or Treat party with the Scrapaholics' families. Lorenzo was the most excited Dracula at UPCO, UPLB.

My LBS friends were still my best friends ever... hugs to Doc Rita, ate Liezl, Ytet, Cors, BFF Timi, Doc Chiqui and Teacher Helga for the beautiful rainbow of friendship. The last quarter of the year was a total roller coaster ride for me. I joined the faculty of Saint Bridgette International School in Calauan, Laguna where I teach Math and Social Studies in the Elementary Department. It was hard because it was totally new to me, but I have to learn more and face the daily challenges as a first time teacher. But at the end of each passing days, I still want to wake up early and go to school for these little kids. I may not be the best teacher, but I am trying to give my best in whatever I do. My only regret is that I cannot attend to my own kids' activity, well... gives their Dad his chance to watch and be with them!

God is good He gave me another year of life! I turned 42 this month... this alone is a great blessing of the year! I met old friends through Facebook, now we are connected after more than 20 years of distance. I can now chat with my second and even third cousins around the globe. I am blessed to have 2 precious children and a hard working husband. My Mom is perfectly healthy and dancing at the age of 71. My brothers are doing good in their chosen fields. I am still in love with scrapbooking. I made a total handmade pages of 245, got 5 12x12 albums for service, and had 2 design team assignments namely Creative Scrappers and Sketchabilities both in Canada... and everything goes well with my life!

I want to welcome 2011 with prayers and hopes... for the Philippines and the whole world to have peace. I ask for guidance in whatever I decide and want to do specially in my new task as a teacher. I ask for protection over my Luigi and Lorenzo, that they will always be safe and healthy specially when my eyes are not looking at them, they will pass their own little challenges and they will grow old with me. I also want to ask the same for my family specially for my Mom and husband. At this point of my life, I cannot ask for anything else except for life and love... God be with ME and you!

I would like to thank you all for being with me for another year of blogging, stories and scrapping.

Happy New Year to all!
