Altered Pot Holders

This is what's keeping me on the move this past few days... now I'm running out of the wooden pot holders in the supermarkets. It's just so fun to make and give to friends. Try altering!

Thanks for looking as always!

My Christmas Project

Every Christmas season, I try to make handmade gifts to my family and close friends. I made altered wall clocks, picture frames and calendars, this year I am altering hot pot holders... Its made of light wood, patterned papers, native twine, metal hooks and scrapbook embellishments.

Its Monday again and its our first day in school for the second semester! I can't wait to go back to teaching and exams once again. I had a fruitful sembreak, I was able to clean the entire house, bond with my kids, had a couple of doctor's check ups and therapy for my right arm, finished a scrapbook assignment, eventually working on some more Christmas projects and the most important part was, I was able to REST for almost a month. As I woke up today, I feel I'm ready to go back to work again.

I hope to drop by the mall today... find a good top for a wedding party, find some more pot holders, and do a little grocery for my boys. Starting the week right, so bless me Lord! God bless us all! Thanks for always looking!

Disney Pages!

I am so excited to share these Disneyland pages which I did for service. I wanted to use bright and happy colors here which I don't normally do, hehehe! I wanted to create a cheerful mood to match my clients' cruising experience. I just hope I did justice to these set of photos, here it goes...

I can say that my sembreak from teaching was spent well and I'm so glad to have accomplished a lot of tasks in three weeks. I was able to finish Katherine's 2nd batch of photos, organized my scrap space again and finally found a good storage for my papers, cleaned and sorted Lorenzo's little play area and Luigi's room upstairs. Now my house is ready for the Christmas season, this is my last assignment before 2nd semester starts in a week. Crossing my fingers to accomplish them all!

We had another family bonding since Friday, my sister-in-law's family were here in Laguna! And so was Hayk, she came home from Dubai and stayed with us for a couple of days...

It's SemBREAK!

Actually, my last day at work was last October 21 and I was then officially on vacation for almost 4 weeks... GREAT! I've been scrapping since then, finishing a set of photos for a friend in USA. I noticed Lorenzo's play area since its just across my working table, it was a TOTAL MESS! Since Shoemart was on sale last weekend, I went on a short shopping trip and found this little shelf for his Transformer robots and these white plastic baskets for his numerous toys. Yup, my cleaning and moving around my little house was not yet done, and I'm clearing up to give some space for Christmas!

Finally finished 43 pages as of today... 12 more to GO! and this box is ready to GO!

I need to maximize the 2 weeks vacation left before 2nd Sem starts. I have to start making my Christmas projects so I won't run out of time again. I'm excited to go back to school, just wondering what my teaching load will be? Tomorrow is All Saints Day here in the Phils, people will all be out in the cemeteries. I'm gonna visit my Dad, my lola and uncles, and of course, my angel Maxine.

Thanks for looking and happy Sembreak! Hahaha!

Hallooowww... I'm back!

Been on the move since last month! I remembered I only blogged once in September... Anyway, I don't have much time to scrap after a batch of photos for service in USA were done. But I'm glad we had another overnight crop to celebrate scrappy friends Timi, Ytet and Doc Chiqui's Birthday last weekend and here are a few of what I've done...

Cotton Candy All You Can!... This page was part of Lorenzo's 7th Birthday, happened to scrap it just now. Actually, I was supposed to use this page for a challenge but I wasn't able to finish on time. Lorenzo doesn't really love cotton candy, but he was so amazed on how it was made and he got a huge ball behind my back. I used here DCWV pps and cardstocks, ribbons, native twine, button and MM acrylic paint.

Life is Good at 18! Yup, my first born celebrated his 18th birthday last month. We had a super duper lunch at Clawdaddy in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa. No extravagant celebration for him because he only wanted 2 things... a hearty meal and a pair of shoes. I used here Inque Boutique pps, DCWV cardstock, assorted pps for the layering effect, AAS chipboard shapes, AC Thickers glittered chipboard alphabets, buttons, native twine, Ranger distressed inks and Tattered Angel glimmer mist.

Yum Yum!... It's Lorenzo's turn to make his own frozen yogurt yummies at Fruitti Froyo at Solenad, Nuvali. He had so much fun adding his favorite toppings which are M&Ms chocolate and fresh mangoes. Looks contradicting but those are his faves and its his time to indulge! I used here Inque Boutique pps, DCWV cardstocks, buttons, AAS fabric brads, native twine, Ranger distressed inks, Little Yellow Bicycle pps and AC Thickers glittered chipboard alphabets.

Been a little tied up with school works and lectures last month. Now I'm on my final stretch of making grades and listening to oral reports. And we had a week of mourning for a lost of an Aunt and so some relatives came over to be with us. Luigi is finally done with his first semester in College and I'm crossing my fingers for the results. My first semester as a college instructor went WELL and I'm happy to top the students and administration's evaluation. Life is moving up so fast... I just hope I didn't miss anything!

Okay, I'm back and scrapping once again. Its so timely that another batch of photos for service came just in time for my sembreak. So I have to go now... thanks for looking as always!

Scrappiness!

I was having a little nappy this Sunday afternoon when Luigi went to my room and told me that Auntie Linda's box was FINALLY HERE! And so... these SCRAPPINESS were finally here!

Got tons of paper stacks, ribbons, Japanese cloths, Martha Stewart punchers and magazines. Auntie Linda, how much do I owe you!?

My weekend walked away so fast and all I was able to do were household chores. I've been a little busy arranging for a short trip for my students this coming week. We have to observe on food stores this time and our lesson is about production management. Wish to be playful this coming week! My instant thinking cap is turned ON and my hands are itchy to do something.

Praying for a happy and productive week ahead... TFL peeps!

Clean and Organized!

I was on vacation for almost 10 days! The whole family went to Baguio, but so sad typhoon Mina tagged along with us. It was so hard to move around the city because of the heavy fog and cold rain. The only exciting thing about this trip was the cold weather where my kids just loved it! The rest of the days were spent at home... I had the chance to clean up!

Can you imagine how much stuff I was able to accumulate all these time? My scrapbook stash were piling up together with Lorenzo's toys. These are the mess I will love forever, hahaha!

My papers are packed according to brand and organized alphabetically in these plastic containers. I bought these green plastic baskets at P35 each in a Novo store here in our little town. I separated all my paints and liquid mediums, inks and ink pads, stamps and embelishments in these baskets. Then, I re-organized my plastic drawer... where the buttom case were all punchers, followed by a whole container of chipboards and Thickers, metal embelishements, my Prima flowers and flower case, and on the top part were my ribbon collection.

Here's my working table or my little office at home every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only, hahaha! This corner of my house is my little haven where I can just create and scrap til I drop!

The pushing and pulling around the house was finally over! It took me about 3 days to have everything cleaned up and organized. I just wish this will last long enough before another major cleaning comes. I got a small house and I don't have extra hands to help me around, that's why I always clean before the kids bring tons of mess. Oh one more reason why I did clean was the anticipation of the Holiday season, christmas tree time is coming and Lorenzo will soon nag me about it. Thanks too to my scrappy sister Liezl, for lending me this culprit magazine on organizing creative spaces. After browsing a few pages of it, my nerves were uncontrollable until now.

Have to go now... TFL as always!
