Book of Little Things...

Here's another mini album... I was inspired by Ali Edwards' Little Things Book and so I came up with my own. There was also a challenge at the Scrappin Kids Forum posted by Wati Basri about this. My mini book is a compilation of the little things that had happened and worth recording and keeping. I made pockets in some pages to hold receipts, tags or just anything that I want to keep. I made a monthly tab instead of letters or numbers. According to Ali "It's a book that can grow and change right along with you. It's also a wonderful way to create in a continuous way, a way to go with flow and record what's happening as it happens."

I used an old phone directory for the cover of the book, Basic Grey Lucky pps, cardstocks, 7 gypsies tape, Prima flowers, Nostalgiques Tpin, Ranger crackle paint, Brillance black ink, fibers, brads, lace, MME overlay frame, blings, MM glittered diecut journals, photo turns, slide mount, and glittered glue. Try nyo rin gumawa, nakakatuwa!

Thomas and Friends' Train Album...

I started this train album about 2 months ago... I was so excited to work on this but had to stop because I ran out of pictures already. I don't have to rush this album anyway because Chuy still loves toy trains and of course, Thomas and Friends!

I used here DCWV's Nana Kids, some Thomas and Friends pps, cardstocks, buttons, ribbons, fibers, Prima flowers, WRMK precious metal hardware and layered shipboard sticker, stickers, Ranger glossy accents, brads, Colorbok chipboards, MM paint, and of course, Maya Road train album and dinner break tin.

Thanks for looking guys! Happy Scrapping!

My Canvas for the Artz de Scrap Challenge 6

Finally... I'm done with my "ME" Canvas! It was my first time to work on a canvas and I had a great time holding my paint brushes and just working any way around the space. I used MM Strawberries and Cream paint for the base color and a Heidi Swapp Daisy mask together with a Ranger distress ink...

I painted this huge ME chipboard with acrylics again and then stamped it with little flowers and swirls with Versacraft grey ink. Thanks Cookie for giving me this chipboard...

I placed my journaling area on the right part of the canvas. Then I stamped on the lower left portion of the canvas...

Then I adhered the letters on the left part and started embellishing the canvas with flowers, antique metal flowers and brads, gold wires which I turned into spirals, and my little bird there. Then for the final touch on my ME letters, I applied Ranger glossy accents to have that shiny look on top.

I used here Hambly tansparency, Fancy Pants- Botanical, Poppy pps, and Sassafras' Life is Beautiful line, Royal Bliss pps for the little bird on the bottom part. Here's my finished canvas...

My journal reads... I am an only daughter * I am a sister * I am a wife * I am a full time Mommy * I am a scrapaholic and a crafter * I am a friend to those who know me well * I am just ME... I love this picture of mine! This was taken at the parking area of Baguio Cathedral.

Special thanks to Artz de Scrap for the free canvas! TFL guys!

It's Scrapfest time once again! This is one event I wouldn't miss for life!

Aside from the shopping galore and challenges, I came to the event to really learn new techniques and and meet friends like Ella and Ariel Go, Cookie Aguilar, Jane Lim and so much more. I had the chance to have an autograph with Master Iris Uy. Many highlights of the day, but I won't forget April and Meng Lim and their friend who helped me print my slephy picture for the challenge... took us the whole morning to have that done, thank you sooo much!

Shop
I spent a little time shopping, but all I got were all in my wishlist. I got 4 lines of Kaiser Craft papers, Fancy Pants' About a Boy, Prima Dude and some Jenni Bowlin papers too. Super heaven na ako kahit konti lang nabili ko...
