Scrappin' Kids' Online Crop...

We all gathered up at 8 in the evening at SK Forum last June 21, Saturday. Wati Basri, a Resident Designer of SK was the host for the crop. The first hour of the crop was a challenge... a layout to be submitted on Sunday evening and required to use 2 brands of patterned papers, 2 swirls and 2 pieces of flowers. After that, Wati gave tutorials on a new idea of a mini album. Let me share my outputs that night...

My Mommyla

I used here Basic Grey pps (Two scoops, Mint Chocolate Chip and Oh Baby boy, Nathan pps), Scenic Route pps (Sumner Scrap Strip 3), white and orange cardstock, DMC thread, 2 Prima flowers, fabric covered brad, brad, Fancy Pants felt swirl, fibers, Brillance black ink, Autumn Leaves Swirl clear stamp, glittered glue and Ranger glossy accents.

My journal reads... She's my number one spoiler, because she gives me everything I like... She's my number one fan, because she appreciates my little funny things... She's my number one protector, because she's always there to take care of me... She's my number one MOMMYLA and I love her so much!
Siblings and Uncles Mini Album

I made this album about my 2 brothers, their special bond and love for my two kids. I used here brown, cream and blue cardstocks, Dream Street pps, Prima flowers and blings, brads, ribbons, fibers, AC thickers and WRMK metals.

Celebrating Laguna Day...

Every year, I see to it that I go home to my Lola Cayang's ancestral house in Calamba, Laguna to watch the Rizal Day Parade. My look-a-like Lola was gone since 2001, now my cousins Janice and Jonjo live in the old house, and so I still have a good reason to go home. I almost forgot, it's my Lola's birthday tomorrow din pala. But for today it's my Lolo Jose's day... we jokingly call Dr. Jose Rizal "Lolo" because my father's family are really natives of Calamba and Cabuyao, Laguna. I belong to the fourth generation of Januario Fasiolco Virtucio, the third Town Mayor of Cabuyao, Laguna.

Here are some pictures of the parade... TFL!

Ang mga Guardya Sibil...

Alpha Phi Omega float...

Mayor ER Ejercito of Pagsanjan, Laguna

Ronald McDonald and Wyon!

I grew up here... many childhood memories in this place. I miss my Lola, my favorite Uncle Oboy and my Dad! I'm sure they are here in spirit, celebrating with us...

Enzo goes to school... his first time!

Yes! It's Enzo's first time to go to school finally... he's in the Junior Casa class of Teacher Helga Vergara. Hehehe! Helga and I meet everyday, we get to chat always because Enzo will go mad if I will not bring him to school. Kaya dakilang nanay ako ngayon! I'm enjoying my new career as of now, I also get to see Kuya (my eldest) during his lunch breaks and sneak on his food. Here's some photos of Enzo during his few days in school...

Thanks for looking!

Gauntlet Challenge at Scrapperie

Here's another set of challenges... just want to show you my entries and share another scrapping experience. We started the Gauntlet Challenge on April 27, 2008 and now we are moving on to Round 6. Just one more round before the finals on June 22. I am still IN and we are trimmed down to 15 for Round 6. Wish me luck...

Round 1: A layout that tells a bit about ourself, but not that usual layout about being a mother, a sister, a wife or a daughter! Any topic about me! And so I thought of scrapping my relationship with my bestfriend Mae, our friendship, happy moments and trial times.

Round 2: A card that is something other than a rectangle, a square or a circle. The card can be of any sentiment, holiday or occasion. I made this train shaped card for little Enzo, because he loves trains so much.

Round 3: A layout about an inanimate object... no husbands, no children, no pets, no plants... nothing living! I scrapped here Enzo's favorite things like his sleeping blanket, Thomas Train toys and DVD's and his comfy shoes. I already made a layout similar to this for Kuya, and so it was Enzo's turn to highlight his favorites.

Round 4: A layout based on a piece of art. I chose the North Rose Window of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, built by Jean de Chelles from 240 to 1250. It is 43 feet in diameter and consists of brilliantly colored pieces of glass. I scrapped a kaleidoscope picture of Kamay ni Jesus, the tallest statue of Jesus Christ that can be found in Lucban, Quezon Province.

Round 5: A mini album based on the topic "Simple Things." I made a mini albums about my joys of having my two sons! I used 5x7" chipboards and 5x7" invitation envelopes binded by rings. I also used my prize-- a kit from A Million Memories with yellow green, blue and orange motiff. I love this color combination!

I thought of blogging my entries now, who knows I might be out in the next round... TFL!

They are okay na...

Huling hirit bago magpasukan... that was my joke to my kids when they were both confined Sunday night at the Los Banos Doctors Hospital.

It was an ordinary Sunday afternoon, Luigi woke up from a nap with a headache and a hungry stomach. So he had a glass of fresh milk and after that he started having stomach pains. He asked me to bring him to the hospital because the pain was getting different. After two hours in the emergency room and CBC and urinalysis tests, the attending doctor gave him a nubain shot. It made him quite sleepy but really drowsy and nauseated. I thought he would be confined then, but the doctor told us that we can go home. We were having dinner when Enzo vomited twice, I thought he was just catching my attention because he was a bit jealous of Kuya. After another two hours, the two boys were continuously throwing up! I texted Dra. Rita because I was sooo afraid! And so, they were both admitted at around 10 in the evening. Their CBC-WBC reading reached 25t for Kuya and 23t for Enzo, meaning there was an infection.

We stayed in a suite room, yon na nga lang suite room ng hospital! My two sons had a great bonding moment habang pareho silang naka-dextrose... on day time, they stayed in one bed to watch their favorite cartoons, they had their favorite ripe mangoes and gatorade, they even napped together... the three days in the hospital were very peaceful and restful for the boys. Now they are both okay and ready for school tomorrow...

Now don't ask me what caused the throwing up and the stomach pains... because I'm not yet feeling better myself!
