Filipino Scrapbookers Challenge Blog - Design Team Call

Today, I decided to clear up my backlog and finish all my pending pages. Well, I'm happy for the 80% accomplishment for the day and this includes these two pages for the Filipino Scrapbookers DT Call. Inspired by this sketch, I made my pages with a little tilting. Here goes...

Fun... Here's one of the photos taken by my co-teacher Kat Pineda and they are my jolly co-teachers at STI. There are some moments that we forget that we are teachers and just be FUNNY-HAPPY people who cannot live without bursting to laughter and fun. I used here DCWV pps, cardstocks, Ranger distressing ink, Brillance black ink, paper flowers, buttons and native twine.

Together... Spending some gala moments with my two boys at Camp John Hay, Baguio City just before summer started this year. I used here DCWV pps, MME pps, Webster's Pages pps, cardstocks, Prima flowers and silk leaves.

Weather is so terrible even thou there are some showers within the day. Its officially rainy season here in our country but it is still warm and humid. Now leaving me more time in front of the net and facebook, and scrapbooking as usual! Lorenzo got only a week before his school starts, while Luigi is on vacation for the coming two weeks because he just finished summer school today. I don't want to say that I'm bored, but I don't want to rush each day as June comes nearer and nearer. Now I'm asking myself if I missed anything during the summer, YEAH the beach! We forgot to go to the beach!

Now I'm crossing my fingers for the DT call, please wish me luck! Thanks for looking as always!

Taking another STEP...

Finally took a deep breath and made a step forward... as entered Letran Campus last Monday, 21st of May. I don't know what will happen that day and I wasn't even sure of what I was doing. But I have a positive mind that this next step of life will be for a good cause and self fulfillment. I took the admission exam for graduate school for 4 hours and had an evaluation interview with the Dean. I had my share of ups and downs during the evaluation but the day ended with... "Congratulations, welcome to Letran Graduate School!"

At my age now, I hope its not yet too late to try. People say that life is a continuing study and that we should never stop learning each day. Crossing my fingers for another chapter of my life to unfold and I'm just happy to back HOME after 23 years.

Arriba and TFL!

Luigi's Pages are Next!

Posting some new pages of Kuya Luigi...

Macchiato... a taste of coffee after a hearty dinner at Terriyako Boy in Tagaytay. This just shows how his man loves to eat and eat! I used here some cardstocks, MME pps, Websters Pages pps, Jillibeans Soup pps, buttons, DMC thread, Brillance inks, silk leaves, Maya Road pin, and baker's twine.

Sumosam... We found this resto at Solenad, Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and they have great food in big sizes, and Luigi just loves it! I used here MM pps, Dream Street pps, cardstock, wooden shopsticks, DMC thread, Memory Mist glimmer mist and Brillance inks.

High School Graduation... This layout was one year in the making and was stocked on my backlog envelope for quite some time. Included in this page were the graduation program and a letter from Luigi. I used here The Girls Paperie pps, Crate Paper, Jillibeans Soup Journaling Sprouts, October Afternoon and Basic Grey letter stickers, buttons, and native twine.

Finally had the time to post some new pages after our school graduation activities. I'm back to scrap service and been hitting my table since last week. School is about to open in a few weeks and I'm afraid I will not have much time to play. I'm still waiting for my final teaching load and my application for grad school is still on progress. I'm anticipating this coming school year with a lot of surprises, adjustments and READING! and I want to face it with a positive perspective. Hopefully, scrapbooking will again balance my coming hectic life.

I think my summer escapades wraps up this soon. I had a happy summer get-away with family bonding during my brother's wedding, niece's swimming party, hopping on summer places and a taste of Bangkok, Thailand. The kids had their share of memories too and now it's time to slow down and bring them back to school mode again. There are still lots of things to do before school starts... get Chuy's textbooks, buy school supplies, cover his books and check up his old school uniform. Chuy is on his 2nd grade and Kuya Luigi just shifted to another course, Hotel and Restaurant Management from BS Tourism.

Slowing down for now and enjoying the rest of the summer. Going back to my table now, TFL!

Lorenzo on the Spotlight!

I had been on hibernation mode last month... my scrapping activity was the first one on hold. After I finished my grades in school, I needed to slow down and enjoy the kids and family first. Now that the wedding was over, I finally had the time to look for my mojo and start playing again. Slowly but surely, I'm back to scrapping again...

Our Little Dracula... I have been saving this photo for a Halloween challenge! But decided to make it now, afraid to add up to my backlog folder! It was his first time to experience a Trick or Treat event at UPCO-UPLB with the LBScrapaholics Family. I used here Dream Street pps, MM pps, cardstocks, AAS wooden fence, Jillibeen Soup journaling sprouts, buttons and native twine.

Best Buds... In spite the quarrels and arguments between Mom and son, we remained Best Buds because we cannot live without each other! Lorenzo is so dependent on Mommy and Mommy wouldn't let him grow up! I used here Bella Blvd. pps, We are Memory Keeper chipboard tags, Maya Road glimmer mist and native twine.

Happy 8th Birthday Lorenzo... Here's a double pager to remember how we celebrated little Chuy's Birthday! It was a simple celebration with the family only and some close friends. I used here white AC cardstocks, Jillibean Soup pps, some native twine, ribbon and buttons, Memory Mist glimmer mists and Brillance ink. Such a simple layout and just been playful with papers and cutting.

Its my first blog for the month of May and I hope I can do this more regularly. I don't want to promise but I know I need to practice prioritizing and maximizing my time and energy this coming days. The other night I was talking to one of my close friends, we talked about going back to school  again. As much as she wanted to take her PhD degree and me, anticipating my enrollment on my masteral, we are both afraid to loose the life style that we are both enjoying now. She warned me about the time I needed to devote once I enter this new phase of learning, and that I need to read, read and READ. Gosh... how about scrapping, scrapping and SCRAPPING!? Honestly, they're giving me butterflies on my stomach and a lot  of worries that I may not be able to scrap often. Oh, I don't wanna think about it anymore...

On the other side of life, summer is halfway done! I hate the hot weather  now and the thought that my kids are going back to school soon. If only they can spend more time here at home just playing the computer, watching TV and jumping on our small swimming pool beside my house, and I, doing the shouting and watching most of the time. God, I enjoy SUMMER! I have 6 weeks to enjoy the rest of it and I'm going back to regular programming plus 14 Saturdays of Masters in Business Administration.  I want to look at life on a more positive and happy way when those days will come, I just want to slow down for now.

Finally started my Project Life 2012 last Wednesday! and working on the month of April. I'm stuck for awhile because I have to run for printing more photos. Another batch of photos are coming up for my scrapbook service in America and I only have a few personal backlogs for the 12x12 albums of my piglets. Now where is Mr. Mojo? Tell me if I can still breathe with these...

Goodluck LIFE! Thanks for looking peeps and have a great weekend ahead!
