Dusting my Zutter

Hello SUMMER!

In a few weeks from now, summer will be officially here in the Philippines. So this means I need to dust off my scraproom again. Its the time of year when I find more time to stay upstairs and keep my hands and creative juices flowing. Well, I'm starting off with a "rush" guest book for the debut of a high school classmate's daughter. My Zutter is out to play!

CJ at 18! I used here cardstocks for its pages, DCWV's The Birthday Wishes Stack, K & Company paper flowers and AC Thickers puffy letter sticers. Happy 18th Birthday CJ, hope this little book gives you lots of happy memories. 

My creative cap leans to sewing and gardening this past few weeks. I am hoping to be back sitting in my scrap haven very soon... so please stay tuned!

Mini mini!

I'm doing minis this past few days! Some friends are giving them for post-Christmas presents, I guess. They are 6x6 in size, contains 6 pages per album and quite easy to make with the big help of my pink Bind-it-All.

This balances my work in school, after a day of teaching, this clears up my mind and relaxes nerves. First plan for the year is finally moving on... giving our house a facelift! Hopefully it turns out nice and keeps within the budget. Thinking about the second plan, its my little man's 7th birthday coming soon and I have less than 2 months to prepare for it. I'm so excited!

Play Time!

I'm glad I'm back on SCRAPPING! I play around during free time and rest time, hehehe! This is a mini album I made for a co-teacher, it took me the whole morning to do this 6 page-album with blank pages and just a decorated cover. I used here Prima flowers, My Little Shoebox papers, cardstocks for the titles, brads, backer's twine and assorted pps. I'm glad I used my Bind it All again, it was stock in my cabinet for some time now.

Mini Albums at 101!

I'm a little tight this days, been literally scrapping day and night. But don't get me wrong, I love my being BUSY again. Since I'm not enrolled anymore and I cannot take my board exams this coming September, I am just HAPPY because my brother Louie is coming home on September. In spite of the total change of my year's plans, I am looking at things in a very positive way.

Another news is that my co-scrapaholic and owner of 101 Boutique, Cors! is celebrating her shop's 12th year anniversary. And we are all invited to come. I heard there will be a scrapbook challenge, will post the rules later. Well for now, I made Mini Albums the whole day today... its been awhile since I did minis. Here they are!



Accordion Minis... I used here Ki Memories papers, chipboard and ribbons. I love the color and design coordinates of the papers, matches the ribbons somehow. They are 6"x6" in size and fits at least a 3R photo.

What a Weekend!

... I cannot be sick anymore, this weekend was long been overdue! We celebrated Doc Ritz's birthday at Arla's Resto last Saturday. It was some sort of a Scrap Buffet sponsored by her and another day-off for us busy mommies. I was able to scrap 6 pages in 8 hours! Will share them soon, but right know let me share a framed layout that we gave the celebrant.


Bliss of Friendship... She's one of my wonderful friends, very sweet, generous and beautiful! and she loves Webster pages! I used here Websters Pages pps, Prima flowers and epoxy sticker, lace, corrugated kraft paper, AAS brad, MM acrylic paint and flower and Tattered Angels glimmer mist.


Live, Laugh, Love and Scrap! Live, Laugh, Love is made of metal painted on black, AC Thickers letters, Webster Pages pps, Prima flowers and bling, foamed flowers, lace, AAS bling brads, Tattered Angels glimmer mist and glittered glue.

What's keeping me up...

I have been busy with school this past few days... oh yeah, just finished pre-finals exams but I have been running after my professor because I FAILED my Livelihood course... been thinking of what to do to PULL that red mark! I'm also scouting for important subjects to be offered next sem. I have to be sure that Measurement and Law will be available or else, it will take me forever!!! Huhuhu!

On the brighter side of life... its birthday season in our family! Starting with Nancy on the 5th, Onald on the 9th, my Daddy on the 17th, Auntie Cely, Ian and nephew Graham on the 23rd, Nicole yesterday, Jigs, Luigi and Hanna today and Tita Cora tomorrow. We have a storm to celebrate with... grabe itong si ONDOY! It was a little like the time of Millenyo. It was stormy outside and pouring inside our house. But I'm not worried, my scrap stash are safe and dry!

I have been a bad blogger... and a bad scrapper too! After my pre-finals, I was off for 6 days but I was always out. Tried to finish some backlogs, but I only completed one! Here's my latest creation...

This one is specially made for a dear friend, Ate Liezl. This is her prize for winning in my last online challenge at Scrappin' Kids. I just hope she likes it! Yvette Planas just introduced me with Art Journaling and I'm itching to start playing with it. Unfortunately, my paints, inks and mist are very limited and so I cannot do much. I've been surfing the net to learn more about it.

I am hoping to be a little productive for the coming 9 days... hmmm! Bawal ang TAMAD!Thanks for looking peep!

Weekend of Challenges and Tutorials at SK...

We were partying here at home while having the tutorials... I had to take over Cookie's Tut because she had to leave for a family dinner. I made this for Garrie's wishes to make use of the pockets, really nice! Here's my mini...


I used here cardstocks, pps, ribbons, silk and paper flowers and buttons. The wishes were slipped in the pockets of the mini book.

My Challenge!
I was one of the RDs/DTs giving a challenge for this month. Unfortunately, I attended Garrie's baptism, so Cookie Aguilar had to cover me to post my challenge. My challenge was to create embellishments using patterned papers and cardstocks ONLY with different shapes and sizes. And lastly, include a memorabilia or an ephemera like tickets to movies/travel or receipts to a date.... etc!... easy, right!? Here's my sample layout...


Back to School... Chuy is back to school and he's a Senior Casa right now. And you know what? He goes to school ALONE now... no more Mommy beside him. I used here MM pps kit, AC Thickers foam letters, DCWV cardstock, Colorbox fluid chalk ink and glittered glue. The red heart on a stick was Chuy's first school art, I used it as a memorabillia.

Challenges end at 10 o'clock Sunday night, so you still have lots of time scrap it. Thanks for looking Peeps!

Each passing day...

Oh its half past the year now and I'm struggling in school for 3 weeks now... each passing days I've been coping up with life, school, family and scrapping syempre! Nothing much new on scrapping except that my MOJO is here and hasn't left me thru thick and thin of my worst mood. I haven't joined any contest lately, not even a "saling-cat" of Scrappin' Moms' Idol 3, but I continue to scrap my backlogs just to keep my sanity away from boredom.

I aimed to finish my Bohol album the soonest time, actually I have all the pages layed out and I just have a little titling to do. I have to do it by this weekend because next week will be reserved for STUDYING... yup! Prelims is fast approaching! I enrolled for 3 subjects only but the coverage is killing me! So here's what's keeping me up lately...






Those were just a few of my 20-page 8 1/2x 8 1/2 album, heheheh! I lost track of the brands and just about everything that I used here... I just gathered up all my pinks, lime and olive greens, blacks, browns and a bit of orange. I thought of using the color of this Classic K & Company album itself for the motif of the whole thing. I enjoyed playing with a little kikay-girly theme here, not the usual ME huh. Kayo na lang ang humusga kung bakla ako or tunay na girl?!

Kaisercraft Projects...

I almost forgot to share my projects using Kaisercraft products... this christmas ornament-shaped mini came from Cookie together with a big push to submit for Kaisercraft's DT call. Yup, I submitted but wasn't lucky enough to make it the top 10 designers... oh well, I don't even know if I can be a manufacturer designer! No guts!






It's a BOY's World!... Here's another mini album of my two precious boys. It wasn't hard to put them all together although I used here a Christmas ornament tag album, I just enjoyed making it! I used here Kaisercraft Superhero and Rough and Tough lines, Kaisercraft Bauble tag album, K&Co letters to go, cardstock, glittered glue, Ranger glossy accents, checkered orange ribbons, MM brads and some fibers.


Awesome Threesome... These is my nephew Graham and nieces Sadie and Gracie...I wish I can see these little ones very soon! I used here Kaisercrafts pps, Kraft paper, cardstock, glittered glue, MM paint, buttons, DMC thread and Colorbox chalk ink.

Save Up some Brown Bags...

We had an online tutorial at Scrappin' Kids last night... we made another mini album using brown paper bags. While I was covering and embellishing my album, I thought of doing something else aside from the usual mini album. I thought of giving the pockets in between another purpose. Since we are four in the family and there are four pockets available, I thought of making a "Save Up" pouch that I can keep each of our bank books and gift moneys. Here's what I came up with...






I used here 5 pieces brown paper bags of the same size, BG Lucky papers, adhesives, ribbons, Prima flowers, fabric covered brads and pearl and jeweled grommets, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, cardstocks and playing cards. Try making one too, its really nice!

Second Online Crop of Scrappin' Kids...

It was our second time to have an Online Crop at Scrappin' Kids Forum! And I just thought that time really moved so fast... I am now on my second month with SK. I'm just so happy to be in forum and meet so many scrappers from abroad like in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Dubai and Australia. Last Saturday, we all gathered up at exactly 8 in the evening for another online challenge and tutorials. Wati Basri taught us another mini album... exciting because it was a pop-up album. I just finished mine this afternoon and will be sending it to my friend Mae in California.

I made this album about my 2 brothers, their special bond and love for my two kids. I used here brown, cream and blue cardstocks, Dream Street pps, Prima flowers and blings, brads, ribbons, fibers, AC thickers and WRMK metals.

Gauntlet Challenge at Scrapperie

Here's another set of challenges... just want to show you my entries and share another scrapping experience. We started the Gauntlet Challenge on April 27, 2008 and now we are moving on to Round 6. Just one more round before the finals on June 22. I am still IN and we are trimmed down to 15 for Round 6. Wish me luck...

Round 1: A layout that tells a bit about ourself, but not that usual layout about being a mother, a sister, a wife or a daughter! Any topic about me! And so I thought of scrapping my relationship with my bestfriend Mae, our friendship, happy moments and trial times.


Round 2: A card that is something other than a rectangle, a square or a circle. The card can be of any sentiment, holiday or occasion. I made this train shaped card for little Enzo, because he loves trains so much.


Round 3: A layout about an inanimate object... no husbands, no children, no pets, no plants... nothing living! I scrapped here Enzo's favorite things like his sleeping blanket, Thomas Train toys and DVD's and his comfy shoes. I already made a layout similar to this for Kuya, and so it was Enzo's turn to highlight his favorites.


Round 4: A layout based on a piece of art. I chose the North Rose Window of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, built by Jean de Chelles from 240 to 1250. It is 43 feet in diameter and consists of brilliantly colored pieces of glass. I scrapped a kaleidoscope picture of Kamay ni Jesus, the tallest statue of Jesus Christ that can be found in Lucban, Quezon Province.



Round 5: A mini album based on the topic "Simple Things." I made a mini albums about my joys of having my two sons! I used 5x7" chipboards and 5x7" invitation envelopes binded by rings. I also used my prize-- a kit from A Million Memories with yellow green, blue and orange motiff. I love this color combination!










I thought of blogging my entries now, who knows I might be out in the next round... TFL!
