February Challenge Entries (Part II)...

Itty Bitty Scrapshack's Round 3
Here are the rules for this round: 2 page layout, handwritten titles and journaling, use of fabric and doodling. Whew, just finished uploading this one... here's my take for this week's challenge...

I scraplifted this one from Cookie's layout "Story of Us", her layout for the second round of Itty Bitty Scrapshack Challenge. There's a bonus challenge, you have to scraplift an entry and this is my piece... I scrapped Noah's photos and I used here DCWV's Rock Star papers, felt ribbons, brads, eyelets, Prima flowers and DCWV Doodles rubons...

Lasting Impression's Websters Page
Here's my Websters Page... I got Vintage Home papers. It's so dainty and sweet, and it's not really nice for a boy page. So I got this photo of Luigi with my two cousins Rita and Rochelle, her Aunties! I did a lot of paper cutting here and tried my hands on more feminine styles.

Scrapbytes Challenge
Last weekend, I spent the whole Saturday morning digging up for a good ad that will match my photos. I always ended up looking at this snack box that I saw Enzo was eating. I had about 4-6 photos to use and I thought the balls drawn on the box would be the perfect place to put the pictures. Took me 'til Sunday morning to have this layout done... had to dry the paint on the chipboards and write my journals. This is not really my style! But I can say that I had experienced lifting an ad... it's new for me and I had fun doing it!

Round 2: Life's Wonderful Miracle...

Here's my entry for the Round 2 of the Itty Bitty Scrapshack Challenge. I'm a little worried in this round, I get the feeling that I will be illiminated after this round! Well, here's this week's rules... we have to scrap 4 photos in a one page layout, 3 different patterned papers, rub-ons, blings and ribbons- but ribbons should be used in a creative way! And so I made spider web roses using organza ribbons. This is one design in ribbon embroidery that I learned during my cross stitch and hardanger days, but we use silk ribbons so that it will be washable and flexible. What was nice in this round was, we were able to use other materials aside from the indicated requirements. I'm crossing my fingers and here's my take to this round...

The round bookplate served as a pull out tab of my journaling,it reads "... It was the time when I lost every hope of having another child. The Lord must love us so much that he gave us a miracle. It's the miracle of You! You were born on March 1, 2004 and we named you Lucian Lorenzo Roberto, our son." I used here Chatterbox-Boy Stripe paper, MM-French Lace Light paper, Stemma-Our Son paper, Bazzill cardstocks, Fancy Pants and Memory Boutique rub-ons, aqua blings, organza ribbons, Maya Road chipboard-Bird of a Feather, We are Memory Keeper antique metals, MM brads, DMC thread, Colorbox chalk ink, antique metal flowers and satin leaves. TFL guys!

Saturday's Events...

It was another EB event of the Scrap Exchange and it was sponsored by Nette of My Little Attic and Marisa of Scrapbooks Hawaii. Wala pa akong na-miss ng event ng MLA as far as I can know, kaya I was really excited to come! We came early (as usual! takot kami sa traffic sa SLEX) and I just dropped by bag and started shopping right away. I shopped for Cheche, ate Liezl, Doc Ritz and Doc Chiqui's bilins. After my first round buying stuff for the LB ladies and accounting all their money, I had another and another more round... can't get enough of shopping because there were really great discounts!

Look what I got for myself... the BG pps and bazzill cardstock were really a great buy!!! I also got a stamping mat, BG chipboard letters and a uhu tube (special thanks to Tita Marian King for sharing this to me!) YUM!

Nette has this RAK table... rules are, you give something from your own stash, things that you wouldn't need anymore but can still be useful to others. Then, you can also get what you like from the RAK table. Salamat po, kung kanino galing ang mga nakuha ko. Here's my dig!

Finally, I won the altered project challenge of MLA! Sinuerte naman ako dito sa trash turned tissue paper holder ko. I got a P1t gift certificate prize from MLA and look what I got...

We came home a little past eight in the evening, Ytet called me up and congratulated me and ate Liezl again. Another good news! I won the runner up slot for Scrapbukan's MM Noteworthy challenge. Both my layouts " Together" and "I Love my Life" scored 33 points, while ate Liezl got the grand prize for her "Bestfriend" layout. Thanks Scrapbukan and Ms. Sahrie!

So you think you can scrap?

It's the new challenge of Itty Bitty Scrapshack ! It's a 6-week challenge that started last week. They were supposed to pick 20 participants, but they decided to have everyone who auditioned joined the 1st round. Round 1 challenge is to use 1 cardstock, 2 patterned papers, alpha letter chipboards or stickers, etc., bottons and written journals. Here's my layout..

I lifted the idea of the flower from one of Cabbie's layout... thanks Cabbie for the inspiration.

February Challenge Entries...

My Little Attic's KI Pop Culture Challenge
I chose challenge 1 of MLA... create an altered project and one page layout. Here are my entries for Nette's Pop Culture contest...

My altered project is a tissue paper holder, I used the plastic packaging cylinder of an apple caramel dessert. Its my first time to use my alcohol inks, I got it from my Scrapbooks Hawaii's prize last December and it was really great! I had fun using it.

Then here is my layout, I had fun painting! I'm not really good in flowers, this is my best try in making a flower layout...

Scrapbooks Hawaii's Autumn Leaves Challenge
This is a "real" challenge for me... you get to make your own patterned papers by using Autumn Leaves stamps.

Scrapbukan's Making Memories Noteworthy Love Challenge
The theme was to make layouts or a mini album about "someone or something" you LOVE! I normally write or print out my journals in cardstocks or papers, but I have fun using the MM noteworhty pad, parang hindi sya mawawala sa uso. I choose to make 2 layouts for this challenge...

The first one is Together... celebrating our 15 years of marriage this year! I finally scrapped this photo taken in Baguio City during our 15th wedding anniversary. I think this layout will make a nice valentine token for my husband Dodo... TFL!

I just love my LIFE! I just wanted to share how happy I am with this simply life I have... and being able to scrap, scrap and scrap!!!

Thanks for looking guys!

I love Thomas!

I don't know what's in his mind but he loves Thomas and friends so much! This is his latest toy adventure and he is finally done with the Barney stage in his childhood life. Enzo got his first Thomas train set on his 3rd birthday last year. And got 2 more from his Aunties in the States. Now he got small ones named Molly, Henry and the famous Thomas... I think this will be enough for Thomas, he just needs to watch and stop collecting these trains! Do you have kids who share the same passion for Thomas and his friends? Visit his site and have fun!

Scenic Route Challenge Entries...

Here are my entries to the Rekindled Moments' Scenic Route Challenge... The pictures that I used in the "Best Gift" layout were taken during my birthday, although I recieved some gifts that day, I still think that my kids were the best gift I ever got in my whole life! I made this "Sisters" layout as remembrance of my sorority batchmates Marivic and Marife's visit a few days after my birthday last year. Thanks for looking guys!
