I'm so excited to win the "Shackin' up with the Design Team" Challenge at the Itty Bitty Scrapshack! Remember Luigi's layout with the Chopsticks? Angela Heldt will be scrapping a layout for me as my prize and will be mailing the orginal layout. Can't wait to see it!

Kayang kaya!

Finally, I was able to finish my layout for the Kaya Challenge of Pinoy Scrapbookers! Kaya 12 is about a "Read this when..." theme, means you have to write a letter for a recipient that will be opened on a proper time. Sounds exciting di ba, and so I made a layout and here it goes...

I used here Basic Grey 9 Iron pps, Aged and Confused-Vagabond Box Plaid, Aged & Confused-Phresh and Phunky Phoilage, blue letter envelope, beige cardstock, buttons, brads, WRMK precious hardware metals book plate, DMC gold thread, Thickers jewelry box chipboard letters, Ranger glossy accents, metal sticker (unknown) and Prima note pads for my letter inside the envelope.

Here is my journaling... dedicated to my first born, Luigi
Congratulations Luigi! Your Daddy and I are so proud of you son! As you graduate from high school today, I can't help but say that my little boy is now a grown up man.

I can still recall your preschool years. Your naughty ways that threatened your classmates and teachers because of your famous line, "Gusto mo, pasabugin ko itong school?" On your first year in school, you were awarded "Most Active Student". You were undoubtedly really active and playful just like any boy your age. After your first two years in preschool, your teacher told me that you to have dyslexia because you read and wrote in a backward manner, only to find out that they had just misjudged you. You were in the honor roll from Grades 1 to 3 and that made us really proud.

I wanted you to enjoy every moment of your highschool life, experience your first crush and heartbreak, go out with your friends and enjoy a little freedom. High school indeed is the best part of your school years. It prepares you for a higher level of wisdom and knowledge, while enjoying the moments of growing up and maturing from being a child to a teener.

Now as you close another chapter of your youthful life, you are about to enter another one - College! When you were still small, you always admired your Ninong Louie-- his life, his job and even his cars. I told you to study hard so that someday you will be like your Ninong. That was so easy for me say because you were just a little child. But now that you are entering college, I want you to go back to your dreams and start building them now. You will be needing a lot of patience, hard work, maturity and discipline. Whatever field you wish to take, your Daddy and I will be behind you, with all the support and prayers we can give you for those dreams to come true someday.

I believe in you Kuya, set a good example to your little brother Enzo and make our family proud of you. Love you Luigi!

Goodluck and God bless you always,
Mommy

Cabbie Tagged Me!

Here's my Scrapping Haven!
It's my first time to show everyone my scrap place... My house is really small, but I want it to really look clean and neat, halos wala ngang laman kundi scrap things ko lang, hehehe! Half of my living room is converted already for my area, because my old dinning table and dresser were there, plus my computer. As much as I wanted to scrap inside our room, Enzo is the temporary owner of our room now because of his toys and the TV. Now, let me show you my place...

I'm a messy scrapper! Kaya sanay ako to scrap on a big table. But my good habit naman is that I clean up before I start a new page and I never leave my table cluttered.

Here's an old dresser of my kids, I borrowed it for my stash. I put here my flowers, ribbons, inks, stamps, brads, die cuts, and a lot of samot saring ek ek! I love this cabinet because it keeps my stash organize and clean.

And finally, this is my hiding place! I cleaned up a room upstairs and placed a metal mesh for my stickers, chipboards, rubons and other embies that needs to be hanged. Plus, all my papers are there too... TFL!

So that's it! Now I want to pass the tag to Timi, ate Liezl and Dra. Chiqui... Sabi nga ni Cabbie, it doesn't have to be a big space but a place where you can be inspired and creativity comes next...
1. Timi Mercado
2. Liezl Arellano
3. Chiqui Gutierrez

Thanks for sharing...

I'm so happy to scrap Enzo's beach photos! It was his 2nd time to see a beach and I was so excited to capture his experience and fun playing in the sand. Here's my take for this week's sketch...

My Angel turned 7!

My little girl Maxine would have celebrated her 7th birthday last Wednesday, April 16... I know this may sound awful to others, celebrating for dead people. But for Maxine, it's her birthday and death anniversary at the same time. I was sitting in my scrap table that morning while saying a prayer for her when my hubby texted me reminding me of a little something for Maxine. Bigla akong napaisip, kung andito kaya sa Maxine ngayon, ano kayang party ang ang gusto nya? I'm a party freak Mom, I organize my boys' parties from the handmade invitations down to the menu and all the other details. Bigla naman akong nalungkot because I can never organize a super girly affair like a Princess or Barbie party, or should I say, Maxine can no longer have parties like this. I was not in a good mood then, but I tried to scrap just to brighten my day. I made a layout for her using a duplicate copy of her tombstone again. I made it colorful and bright like a birthday party I always dreamed for her. I used Prima paintable pps and painted it with Faber Castell's watercolour pencils, different Prima flowers, Prima notepad, 7 Gypsies paperclip, heart blings, fabric covered brad, and fibers. Salamat po for looking!

Happy 7th Birthday MAXINE!
