THANK YOU 2009!

... In a few hours from now, 2009 will be history! A lot of things to be thankful for, remembered, learned and be kept.

First of all, I am thankful for my family for they remained to be my inspiration and happiness through the years. Luigi experienced his first love and first heartbreak, while Lorenzo was brave enough to go to school alone without me hanging around the waiting area of the school. We welcomed the daughter of my brother Jay and Che to the family on May 5 and they named her Margarette. My Mom celebrated her 70th birthday in good health and lots of dancing. Then, my brother Louie went home in November for a month of relaxing and bonding with the kids.

This year was like a roller coaster ride of everything! There was a major twist in my life which made me decide to go back to school. So far, I'm on my last 9 units and enjoying my second course. My LB Scrapaholics family remained intact and solid moving on to our 5th year of scrapping and friendship. And speaking of scrapping, I'm a bit slow this year... I was able to finish 86 layouts, 5 mini albums and 9 desk calendars only. Sad that Scrapping Kids closed, but I have 3 design team assignments namely Scrapbooks Hawaii, Ad This and my recent, Creative Scrappers. To top this year's ride, I celebrated my 41st birthday! I may have gone through a rough ride, but I'm doing my best to move on and live life once again. It was like running a race with my eyes focused on the finish line, a race where I only competed with myself... alone! These are challenges of life that will make ourselves stronger and that I believe somebody up there will never fail me this time.

On a brighter note, I was able to enjoy a little self-pampering... got myself a new laptop, N79, Creative MP3 and a-320gb passport storage. Now I simply can't live without these little gadgets. Mid this year, I was able to explore Bohol with my eldest, cousins and Tita Elsa. Then just lately, I was able to attend my highschool reunion! Its been 25 years since I graduated from highschool and it was sooo nice to see my old classmates, teachers and friends, and my Alma Mater Letran again. All these are simple personal blessings I am truly thankful for.

And so, life MUST go on... I hope 2010 will be a better year for everyone, good health for me, my husband and my family, maybe a new career after my schooling, peace of mind and heart and a clean and honest election for our country.

Happy New Year to Everyone, from my family Dodo, Luigi, Lorenzo and Me!

THANK YOU 2009 and thanks for looking, as always..

A Layout in Exchange...

Thanks to You! We are going to celebrate in awhile the Christmas Party of the LB Scrapaholics with the families this time. I just got a text from Doc Ritz reminding me of what to bring, food assignments, kid's prizes and the most importantly... a layout for our exchange gift. This is the idea of Timi, para nga naman hindi na gagastos at magiisip pa of what to give to a Scrapaholic. We should scrap a group photo of one of our events, and so here's what I came up with... I scrapped my own birthday celebration. I used here mat board from Ytet, Chatterbox pps, Scenic Route pps, cardstocks, Prima flowers and pearls, silk leaves, Hambly transparency, brads, Ranger Glossy Accents, and glittered glue.

To Doc Ritz, ate Liezl, Cors, Ytet, Timi, Doc Chiqui and Helga... whoever gets this, hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

Scrap, Inspire and Create!

I was able to scrap a page for Scrap, Inspire, Create's November challenge, they asked for a multi-photo page this time. I am now comfortable playing on multi-photo layouts, I just want my photos to be a little smaller than the usual 3R size. You might notice that I'm a little bit slow in scrapping right now compared to last year's outputs, but at least I STILL scrap! hehehe...

Oh Happy Day... here's another FUN part of Lorenzo's EK day, his Carousel ride! I used here Prima Aurora Collection-Radiance pps, October Afternoon Nightlight Collection-Katie pps, MM Musical Notes Falala pps, AC Thickers foam letters stickers, Bazzill alpha cards from Dra. Ritz, Tim Holtz ticket sticker, Provocraft transparent letter stickers, EK Success ticket sticker, Rhonna Farrer transparent words stickers, Fancy Pants Techno Pop buttons, DMC thread, Tattered Angel's glimmer mist, glittered glue and Prima flowers.

This week will be a hectic one I think... lots of things to do, lots of lectures to go thru, and finally the most awaited piggy wedding of my cousin Janice and Buggy on the 9th. I think I have to keep away from my scrap table for the coming two weeks, AArrrggHHH!

Wish me luck, thanks for looking!

Ad Inspired Layouts!

I found these ad inspiration at Dotty Divas' Blog where my good friend Timi designs... made use of the ad as a sketch inspiration and added their twist using mesh. Here's page...

Enchanted Kingdom... Lorenzo's first time to enjoy at EK! The last time he was there, he was only 2 years old and all the time we were in the park he was riding his stroller. So this time, he run around and enjoyed his carousel ride. I used here K and Company pps- Mira Indigo Word Swirl flat, Mira Bird Floral flat and numbers pps, mesh, cardstocks, buttons, DMC thread, chipboard letters, Marcella's 3D word stickers, AAS pastel photo turns and brads, glittered glue and Colorbox fluid chalk ink.

I finished this page on time but too bad I wasn't able to upload it at once. I used the huge letters as my inspiration and the colors red and brown. Please don't think I'm a bad Mama, just used the word "devil" because of those lighted thorns my little one was wearing.

Mommy's Cutest Little Devil... Little Lorenzo would always ask me to buy this lighting thorns everytime it's Halloween season. He just loves playing with it and giving me that naughty look. This year I bought him a black cape and some Dracula's teeth to match. Isn't he a cutie? Hehehe! I used here Craft Express Halloween pps, cardstocks, Basic Grey mono chipboard letters, Kaisercraft acrylic paint, Ranger glossy accents, Colorbok letter stickers, K and Company letters to go, Provocraft letters stickers, rikrak lace, journaling ticket, buttons and DMC thread.

Thanks for looking :)

Family Happenings...

Oh yes, I'm a bad blogger once again! Been really busy with school, kids and family this past few weeks. My brother is leaving tonight for Dubai, it has been a whole month of fun, gimmicks, eating and partying, catching up and bonding with him. We'll all gonna miss him specially the kids Luigi, Lorenzo and now, little Garrie too. Here's what we were up to for the whole month of November...

The kids were all around him... Louie's first day at home!

November 1, we spend the whole day at the cemetery. Lorenzo was such a spoiled boy, he would ask his Tito to buy him all the small toys around the area.

Louie's day 2... bonding with our cousins from Calamba.

Day 7... an evening with our old barkada! When me and my 2 brothers were on our teen years, we had a common group of friends and they were Eric, Nico and Phil... we missed Jerynn and Rennel here!

Day 13 at the Enchanted Kingdom, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. We came a little late and the park was closed at 7pm. We just looked around, ride twice on the carousel and enjoyed the time left.

Day 21-22 overnight at Laiya beach, Batangas... We had margarita mix, tequila, mild salsa and chips! Then early the following morning, we went playing at the shore. Times like this, I miss my Dad!

Lorenzo had a field trip last November 24, we went to Greenbelt cinema and watched the Repertory Phils' "Jack and the Beanstalk". Then the whole afternoon was spent at the Manila Ocean Park. I had a great time with Chuy!

Today is my brother's last day... we had lunch at Palaisdaan sa Bay and had some last minute bonding with the kids. One month moved so fast and its bye-bye time again, we'll surely miss you kapatid! But I know you will be home again... really soon! Don't break your promises this time!

And there goes my month of November... always on the go and no time to slow down. Life will slowly go back to its normal phase, have to focus on my schooling and scrapping this time. God I missed blogging, TFL!
