Thank you 2015... Hello 2016!

2015 will soon be part of our history.
I want to thank 2015 for all the achievements, happy memories and lessons learned it gave me. Indeed it was a year of  blessings and with a thankful heart, I want to praise the Lord for each day that passed that He never failed me and my family. Here's my 2015...

My Lorenzo
He turned 11 this year, and is getting bigger and bigger each day. In a few months, I'm sure he will be taller than me. He gave us another Silver for an Academic Achiever Award in Grade 4. And this June, he's on his 5th Grade. Then towards the last quarter of the year, he finally learned to drive a bike. It took him a lot of courage and patience to make it on his own. So when he asked for his Christmas money, he decided to buy a mini-mountain bike. My baby is starting to eye for nice shirts, men's accessories, hair gels and sprays, and became a shoe-addict. I wish my little Chuy will slow down a bit... I know he's no longer a baby!

My Luigi
I can't believe he is now 22 years old?! He just finished his thesis proposal defense in October and now working on the results and discussions. Very soon and hopefully, my eldest will be graduating in college. He is more matured and focused now, but still loves to eat and play.

 My Sweet Success
I graduated in March and finally an MBA now. I will never forget the fruitful 7 semesters of learning and the friendships I made along the way. This success will not be possible without the prayers of my Mom, the sharing of ideas of my adviser Dr. Evangeline Pasion, my thesis professors Dr. Nimfa Gamban and Dr. Bobbet Revilla, my thesis statistician Dr. Jayjay Meneses and my thesis panelists Dr. Lalaine Ocampo, Arch. Mark delos Santos and Ms. Ana Rose Colarina.

My Memory Making
Making memories is very important to me eversince I started scrapbooking. Its not just documenting them in paper, but bringing the joy of experience and memories for my children. This year, our family went to the Ilocos province up north. We saw the beaches of Pagudpud, the windmills of Bangui, the museums of the Marcoses in Laoag, the golden mansion of Chavit Singson and the brick streets of Calle Crisologo in Vigan. Those are this year's contributions in the piggy bank of travels of my boys.

 My Escapades
My ME time this year was spent in Ho Chi Minh, Vietman or the famous Saigon. The plan of travelling with my mentor Dr. Pasion and classmate Ma'am Angie finally came true. I remember our bags and shirts shopping, eating galore, strolling around the rich's place and tons of picture taking.

My Work
After my MBA graduation, I am now the General Education Head of our school. A lot of paper works, physical works, mancomm meetings, memo making and management practice, and 9 units of teaching... I embraced them all with a happy disposition, positive attitude and contentment. I wanted to level off stress with enjoyment of friendships and learning. I'm on my 2nd term now, 4 more semesters for the goal!

 My Scraps
Yup, I still scrap! I made 108 12x12 layouts and 16 pages of Project Life this year. I made a few frames and other altered projects as well. But my greatest creating achievement for the year was Georgina Marie's year 1 & 2 scrapbook albums. Again, designing girl pages was totally a challenge for me, but my cousin was happy for the results, so I guess I did justice somehow. I cannot live without scrapping, I guess I just need to make time for it soon.

So this was my 2015! I am so THANKFUL for everything that it gave me and my family. I wish for a healthy and less stress 2016. Oh before I forget, 2016 is the year of the Monkey! I am a Monkey, so this may spell luck and wishes come true in a few hours!

Happy NEW Year Everyone!
May the love and blessings of the Monkey be with US all!

My Little Attic- Valerie Salmon's Sketches!

Took me a long while again to post some creations! I always sneak to scrap upstairs when I have the luxury of time, this helps me throw away all my stress at work, hahha! Here are two of my latest pages...

22 Complete Bliss... is a page to celebrate my eldest's 22nd birthday! We had an eat-all-you-can lunch with the family and his bestfriend Von, then just strolled around Glorietta. I am just happy that I have a 22 year old already. I used here Making Memories and My Simple Stories pps and cardstock stickers, AC Thickers foam numbers and DMC threads. This was inspired by Valerie Salmon's sketch posted in the Attic.

Teacher's Day 2015... It was my 5th year in teaching and what a great way to be honored and loved by the students was to read their messages and wishes. Valerie Salmon's sketch gave me so much room to put some of these messages, just loving it. I used here AC white cardstock, DMC threads, My Simple Stories pps and cardstock stickers and Memories Mists mango lemonade spray.

Thanks to Nette of My Little Attic for providing us with Valerie Salmon's sketches. My layouts were super late because of work load, but I had a great time using them with my photos and memorabillas. I am kinda short of photos this year, but I promise myself to catch many more memories soon.

Life is a bit hectic lately, I wish to unwind and relax soon in my little haven upstairs... thanks for looking as always!

Busy at Work!

It has been 3 months since I last made a post!

Been always busy at work... still adjusting on my new job, but still enthusiastic in teaching and learning. I only teach twice a week, which makes me excited and lets me feel relaxed. The rest of the 31 hours are for my admin work, which puts me in the learning world again.Physically exhausting but all worth my time for now.

School is on the midway now, and we were just done with the exams. 9 more weeks to survive the 1st semester!

I don't bring work at home! That leaves my weekends FREE to clean my home, be with the kids and just create. I only have a few backlogs specially on my project life. Oh life is just GREAT!

Happy weekend peeps! TFL.

Georgina Marie's pages...

This was such a productive summer! Made 75 scrapbook pages and finished my 2014 Project Life this summer vacation. The best part of it was, I scrapped almost half of Georgina's baby photos. Georgina Marie is my niece, the only daughter of my favorite cousin Janice. It was a complete challenge to do her pages because I was not so used to doing girly pages, and working on pinks and flowers gave me a lot of mood and mind setting. But somehow, I love what I did on each of her pages...

Georgina is now two and I will try to finish her 1st birthday pages until her 2nd birthday very soon. I had so much fun doing her pages just to see her grow bigger and bigger each month. She is such a darling baby girl and I love her so much as if she's my own too. I used here AC white cardstocks, assorted Websters Pages, Scenic Route, Bella Blvd, DCWV papers, Carta Bella-Baby Mine Collection kit, DMC threads, Ranger distressing inks, Prima flowers, Bangkok paper flowers, native twine, wooden and plastic buttons, embossed stickers, washi tapes, Memory Mist and ribbons.

There is only one week left for my summer vacation and I have to make the most of it. More time with my two boys, home cleaning and still, scrapping goodness. Luigi is planning to start working on his college thesis this coming school year, while little Lorenzo is entering 5th Grade on June 4. Life will be different again next month!

Have to go for now, dinner is waiting for me. TFL as always!

2014 Project Life...

My Project Life is finally updated and ready for many more memories to come! But for now, I am posting our life in 2014. It was loaded with travels, family bondings and gatherings, homecomings and happy experiences. Here goes!

It was so hard to shoot these pages, took me awhile to edit them too. But I am just so happy to look at them and recall all the memories. I used here Simple Stories' Sn@p Life! and assorted papers, washi tapes, DMC threads, buttons, stickers, and cardstocks.

Moving on to the rest of the days, summer is about to end! I think I had been productive so far... stayed at home for the kids for a couple of weeks, vacationed a little, cleaned the house and SCRAPped a lot! I am going to miss these moments when school days are here again. Oh anyway, I still have two weeks to enjoy!

Have you captured your life lately? Try doing it on Project Life pages. Happy Creating as always!

TFL!
