Weekend of Challenges and Tutorials at SK...

We were partying here at home while having the tutorials... I had to take over Cookie's Tut because she had to leave for a family dinner. I made this for Garrie's wishes to make use of the pockets, really nice! Here's my mini...


I used here cardstocks, pps, ribbons, silk and paper flowers and buttons. The wishes were slipped in the pockets of the mini book.

My Challenge!
I was one of the RDs/DTs giving a challenge for this month. Unfortunately, I attended Garrie's baptism, so Cookie Aguilar had to cover me to post my challenge. My challenge was to create embellishments using patterned papers and cardstocks ONLY with different shapes and sizes. And lastly, include a memorabilia or an ephemera like tickets to movies/travel or receipts to a date.... etc!... easy, right!? Here's my sample layout...


Back to School... Chuy is back to school and he's a Senior Casa right now. And you know what? He goes to school ALONE now... no more Mommy beside him. I used here MM pps kit, AC Thickers foam letters, DCWV cardstock, Colorbox fluid chalk ink and glittered glue. The red heart on a stick was Chuy's first school art, I used it as a memorabillia.

Challenges end at 10 o'clock Sunday night, so you still have lots of time scrap it. Thanks for looking Peeps!

Super Sale!

The garage sale yesterday was really overwhelming! I really dont have plans on shopping, just want to go out with the Scrapaholics, pero napariwara ako! Got over 60pieces of cardstocks and patterned papers, and a good deal on chipboards, a few flowers and brads! Look!

I'm itching to scrap right now... hmmm, hope I can do something today! I would like to THANK also the ladies behind Pile It On, SP Color Combo and One Little Word for dropping by my blog and leaving me some encouraging words, I really appreciate it. Thanks for looking!

Why Oh WHY!

Here's an exciting challenge! Found out about it thru Timi who happened to be one of Pile It On's new DTs... the idea of the challenge is to create cards, layouts or altered projects using more than one challenge. With their current challenge, you have to incorporate 1 or 2 more from other sites, you just need to link it up as you submit. Cool isn't it!

So their current challenge is Sketch #6! Then, I used SPCC Color Combo #6 and dropped by at One Little Word's site for the word of the week WHY?! And here is my output...


Why Oh WHY!... this happened to be my last page for my Bohol Mini. I was in Cebu International Airport waiting for our plane home. There was free wifi connections but it was sooo hard to get through. Sigh! I used here Fancy Pants pps, papers from ate Liezl which I wasn't able to get the brand!, cardstocks, ribbons, Prima flowers, Heidi Swapp floral blings, Doodlebug cardstock letters, Colorbox fluid chalk ink and glittered glue.

Just a little BREAK!

I'm still battling over school and studying... and I still haven't get through with adjusting and prioritizing! It has been 4 weeks since the start of school, and now I'm going to take my prelims exams this week. Been reviewing my lectures since last week and my brain is slowly messing up with so much to memorize, aarrggghhh!

So I took a little break last weekend! Shopped, indulged and chilled out, hahaha! Scrapped a little and joined the Mystical Scrapbook's Christmas in July online challenge. I wasn't able to do all the challenges because I have no more christmas photos to do, but I was able to do a page for my Tita Elsa about our Bohol trip... here goes!



Bohol Holiday... MSB's challenge was a double pager using christmas colors. I know I didnt get the right colors, but Tiff said its christmas after all!!! I used here Kraft papers, cardstocks, Three Bugs in the Rug pps, flowers, AAB brads, Colorbox chalk inks and AC Thickers chipboard letters.

I wish this week will be over real soon... My mind is full of "lesson plans", "educational objectives" and "teaching strategies"! I need to unwind and finally get back to SCRAPPING!

Pure Joy... I made this page for my cutie little Goddaughter Sharie! Isn't she such a pure joy to see? I used here DCWV brown and mauve cardstock, Sassafras pps, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, Prima flowers, All About Scrapbooking pearl conchos, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, Dew Drop Versa Magic chalk ink Cloud White, K & Company letters to go, organza flowerettes and glittered glue.

rush! RUSH! rush!

Just finished these invites this morning! Its so simple I guess, I just used here some pps, calling card board sheets, dv flowers, chalk inks and pigment inks, buttons and DMC thread which I used to sew each of the buttons... whew! Its finally done... I'm sure, Mom will be happy to give them to her dancing guests. I was looking for a high-heeled shoe pattern instead of the flower, but she said her guests might not come if they will know that there's dancing, they might get shy huh!? Well, whatever... basta I'm done with my first assignment!

Each passing day...

Oh its half past the year now and I'm struggling in school for 3 weeks now... each passing days I've been coping up with life, school, family and scrapping syempre! Nothing much new on scrapping except that my MOJO is here and hasn't left me thru thick and thin of my worst mood. I haven't joined any contest lately, not even a "saling-cat" of Scrappin' Moms' Idol 3, but I continue to scrap my backlogs just to keep my sanity away from boredom.

I aimed to finish my Bohol album the soonest time, actually I have all the pages layed out and I just have a little titling to do. I have to do it by this weekend because next week will be reserved for STUDYING... yup! Prelims is fast approaching! I enrolled for 3 subjects only but the coverage is killing me! So here's what's keeping me up lately...






Those were just a few of my 20-page 8 1/2x 8 1/2 album, heheheh! I lost track of the brands and just about everything that I used here... I just gathered up all my pinks, lime and olive greens, blacks, browns and a bit of orange. I thought of using the color of this Classic K & Company album itself for the motif of the whole thing. I enjoyed playing with a little kikay-girly theme here, not the usual ME huh. Kayo na lang ang humusga kung bakla ako or tunay na girl?!
