... light a candle and say a prayer for the victims of typhoon Ondoy and for the safety of everyone for the coming storms of life. May the tiny spark of this candle bring us hope and guidance from somebody mighty UP there.

GOD BLESS US ALL!

I hopped and HOPPED!

Terrible typhoon Ondoy was here during the weekend! and I wasn't feeling well and so I hopped and bumped into Iris Uy's new site and found this! Then, I headed over at Pamela Young's blog and found the Scrapbook Challenge's DT Blog Hop and Sketch challenges. Took me awhile to visit their 13 DT blogs, but it was all worth it... got so much inspirations and learned that some of them are Filipina designers too. Here's Pamela's sketch and my simple take...

David and Me... Here's my very own version of the Philippines' teleserye "Tayong Dalawa" or Two of Us... its my nephew DK, my little "David" Kharl. The name David became famous in Philippine television for almost nine months and since then, most of us fell in love with these handsome boys JR and Dave Garcia. Hehehe! I used here Ytet's bracket-shaped corrugated board, Sassafras pps and cs sticker, Jillibean Soup Journaling Sprouts, blings, ribbons, Tattered Angel glimmer mist, cardstocks, staple wires, glittered glue and Ranger glossy accents.

Thanks for looking!

What's keeping me up...

I have been busy with school this past few days... oh yeah, just finished pre-finals exams but I have been running after my professor because I FAILED my Livelihood course... been thinking of what to do to PULL that red mark! I'm also scouting for important subjects to be offered next sem. I have to be sure that Measurement and Law will be available or else, it will take me forever!!! Huhuhu!

On the brighter side of life... its birthday season in our family! Starting with Nancy on the 5th, Onald on the 9th, my Daddy on the 17th, Auntie Cely, Ian and nephew Graham on the 23rd, Nicole yesterday, Jigs, Luigi and Hanna today and Tita Cora tomorrow. We have a storm to celebrate with... grabe itong si ONDOY! It was a little like the time of Millenyo. It was stormy outside and pouring inside our house. But I'm not worried, my scrap stash are safe and dry!

I have been a bad blogger... and a bad scrapper too! After my pre-finals, I was off for 6 days but I was always out. Tried to finish some backlogs, but I only completed one! Here's my latest creation...

This one is specially made for a dear friend, Ate Liezl. This is her prize for winning in my last online challenge at Scrappin' Kids. I just hope she likes it! Yvette Planas just introduced me with Art Journaling and I'm itching to start playing with it. Unfortunately, my paints, inks and mist are very limited and so I cannot do much. I've been surfing the net to learn more about it.

I am hoping to be a little productive for the coming 9 days... hmmm! Bawal ang TAMAD!Thanks for looking peep!

Speak...

... that was the theme during the layout challenge last Scrapfest 7. Challenge required 3 photos of you and used up all the stash on the challenge kit. It was about 3 in the afternoon that Friday before the Scrapfest when I shoot these photos, I had to set my cam on timer since there was nobody to take pictures of me. You can just imagine me running back and forth in setting the timer and giving a pose, hahaha! I wanted to show the different faces of me but I ended up making fun of myself, para akong sira just to have some decent photos. And so, here's the output...

Speak Your Heart... Patterned papers (which I forgot the name of the manufacturer!), Bazill cardstock, foam diecut letters, AC Thickers foam letters, MM acrylic paint, glittered glue, chipboard wings, 7 Gypsies journaling card, brads, buttons, ricrac, DMC thread, Prima flower and Colorbox fluid chalk ink. Thanks for my title, Timi!

My Shopping Treat! I spent more than a thousand for papers, PAPERS and papers like Scenic Route, Webster Pages, DCWV and October Afternoon, just 1 pack of AC Thickers letters, a Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Glass, and an A2Z Scraplets chipboard swirl. Yan lang and lots of FUN digging them! I haven't unpack them yet until now, hoping to play with them soon!

Thanks for looking!
