March 30 Ad...

It's the start of another week and here's a new ad again! I'm getting excited waking up each Tuesday morning (its already Tuesday here in the Philippines, when its only Monday in America) and finding my layout at Ad This blog! This week's twist is sewing, here's the ad and there should be handstitching, machine sewing, a stamp or rubon stitches somewhere in your layout.

You are my Pretty Lady Bug... This little girl is Ate Liezl's youngest child, have this photo for months already. Pia is a quick dresser, she can invent an instant outfit and would simply strike a pose anywhere and anytime! Here, she was wearing an apron on her back and pretending that she was a lady bug... lol! She's a little darling on this photos. I used here DCWV cardstocks, MME pps, K & Co. letters to go, flowers, Provocraft brads, DMC thread, lady bug buttons, antique metal flowers, ribbons and WRMK metal hardware.

Hope you can try using an ad for inspiration... Thanks for looking!

Kaya 23!

It's "Kaya" moment again! This month's challenge is about Hybrid Scrapbooking. According to Alby... "Hybrid scrapbooking is combining digital and traditional elements in your layout. Have you ever used computer-printed journaling on your layouts? How about digital brushes or overlays on your photos? Have you added words, journaling and titles to your photos before printing them out? Have you printed drawings, digital papers and elements to be included in your paper layout? If you think you did, then you are a hybrid scrapbooker." Well, I MUST say that I am a Hybrid Scrapbooker! Kinaya ko naman ang challenge ni Alby! Submitted my entry early last night, here's my page...

In Your Eyes... Here's another page for my cutie niece Gracie! I love this shot so much, that's why in my cousin Donna's new batch of photos, I have this printed at once. If you will notice, I made 4 different kinds of handmade flowers. I thought of making my own flowers since Prima flowers are not so much available here in the Philippines and they are a bit expensive... so here's my version of handmade paper flowers. I used here DCWV Cardstocks, kraft paper, Provocraft pps, WRMK Whiteout Nonsense pps, buttons, DMC thread, ribbons, glittered glue, MM heart brads and Ranger glossy accents.

Kaya mo rin ba? Thanks for looking!

March 23 Ad...

Its a brand new week and a new ad is up at Ad This. This week's twist is Frames! You have to have a frame somewhere on your layout, better yet make one if don't have a ready made. Making frames was one of the first techniques I learned during my early days in scrapbooking. Here's my interpretation on this week's ad...

Ally's Smile...
I always admire this little girl! She's so beautiful and witty! She's Dra. Chiqui's little girl... I always envy her for having such a pretty daughter, a daughter that I cannot have anymore. I am just so happy to make this page for her... I used here Fancy pants pps, corrugated board for my frame, Prima flowers, gromets and brads, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, AC thickers chipboard letters, MM felt letters, Bazzill edges, letter rubons and watercolor pencils. I used watercolor pencils on the designed flowers of the patterned paper, I love the effect on it.

Before I go, I want to greet my hubby because it's his special day today! We don't really celebrate but I cooked dinner for him, heheheh! Wish him more happy years to come and many many years with me. Thanks for looking!

Guest Designer for Mystical Scrapbooks...

It was in mid February when I got an email from Donna, owner of Mystical Scrapbooks in Australia, asking me if I can be their GDT for March. Actually, it was part of my prize for winning in the "Game On Challenge" sometime in July 2008. And after a week, my speedy box of BG stash came! I am so happy to show you the projects I made for Mystical Scrapbooks...

Love you Lots...
I love this page! I thought of doing something new which was not really my style and this was my first attempt. I wanted to do a boy page with a touch of pinks and hearts. I used here Coredinates cardstock, BG Bittersweet pps and rubons, MM LOVE chipboard shape, paint and heart brad, AC slick black pen, a flower, AAS glittered heart stickers, ribbons, Terri Martin letter stickers and glittered glue.

Just Us...
I've been waiting to scrap this photo since last year, this photo was taken October of last year I think. I always treasure moments like this, just me and my kids playing and fooling around! I always love playing with corrugated boards but again, this page was a "not-so-me" style, hehehe!? I went out of my comfort zone and play with the pinks, paints and flourishes. I hope I did justice to this BG page. I used here BG Bittersweet pps, corrugated board, coredinates cardstock, Kaisercraft pearls, AAS fabric covered brads and glittered hearts, flowers, MM paint and Colorbox fluid chalk ink.

Perpetual Calendar
I've been making this calendar for christmas presents last year, so thought of sharing it to others. You will be needing a picture frame, some scrap cardstocks and patterned papers, ribbons, monthly calendar print outs and embellishments to decorate it with. I fell in love with the BG Bittersweet color motiff of pink and brown!

Again, I would like to thank Donna and the Mystical Scrapbooks Team for this honor and chance to be featured in their site. You can visit their forum for the step by step directions of the perpetual calendar.

March 16 Ad is Up...

Been down with flu since late last week... it was good that I was able to scrap early last week and finished some pages. I don't know if I can even touch anything this week, my mojo is sooo low! Been worried for my son because he's expriencing his first heart break! I know everything is so petty but I want him to feel that I am always here for him. I never been this close to him eversince his yaya Jenny left. Oh my, ibang level na talaga itong new generation ngayon... it takes a lot of understanding and right words to say. One thing more, my favorite Auntie passed away yesterday morning. This is whats putting me to the highest emotional and physical stress lately.

... Life must go on! And so this ad is up at At This blog. Visit us and see the different interpretations of the Fab 6 Design Team Members. This week's twist is fonts, you have to make a list somewhere in your layout using different kinds of fonts. Here's my take...

Palok...
It's an igorot dance performed by Luigi's class last February 27 during the school's foundation day celebration. It was so hard to convince this boy to finally wear his bahag and dance in the stage. I used here BG Urban Prairie Harvest pps, Provocraft pps, ribbons, DMC thread, buttons, WRMK metals, Craft Express foam letters, MM tiny stickers and cs stickers, rubons, K & Co letters to go, cardstocks, Brillance black ink, Colorbox fluid chalk ink, MM acrylic paint, staple wires, and AAS mesh.

And here's a bonus ad for a card inspiration. Isn't it nice? and here is my take...

I hope the rest of the week will be okay for me. Thanks for looking!

I'm joining the Spring DT at Ad This...

I'm sooo happy and excited to join the Spring Design Team of Ad This. This is our new ad and its finally out in the blog, so why don't you check it out and join us for this week. The twist is to use cardstock only. You have to use paints and inks to create your own patterned paper. Then you have to make your own embellishment to decorate. Try this out!

Water Adventure
I've been longing to scrap this for Luigi. I'm done with Chuy's and finally, I can post this one now. An ad gives you all the chances to interpret your ideas into a page. With this I used my imaginary sketch to create what I really want, but I didn't make a slant as shown in the ad. I can say that my kids are the adventurous type, I haven't seen Luigi backed out and be scared of anything. Just like Chuy, he was brave enough to snorkle in the 10 feet waters of Laiya, Batangas. I used here cardstocks, Doodlebug letter stickers, MM paints, Brillance ink, buttons, DMC threads and Colorbox fluid chalk ink.

Before Five
Some photos of Chuy just before he turned 5. I used here Cherry Arte pps, cardstocks, buttons, DMC thread, Ranger glossy accents, Keren Foster letter stickers, and K & Co. sticker. I just want to share this layout inspired again by an ad.

Thanks a lot for looking!
