Multi Photos from Joanne Yap's Sketch

I'm starting to enjoy the idea of using a sketch! It's a big help in the layout process, but still-- all the elements of the page should come from your own brain and style. And it's up to your own interpretation and version, isn't it? See, we are 4 in the family, I was lucky to have another son on year 2004, I'm lucky everytime I'm on the fourth slot, and many more stories... and now, I want to share my layouts for the KI Pop Culture challenge of Jane's Rekindled Moments. Dugong Arriba!

Here's my Scrapbytes entry for this month... my college grad pic! Grabe, ang tagal ko na palang graduate at bigla akong nag-nostalgia? My husband Dodo was with me when I was doing this page, so nagkwentuhan kami about our college days. We were almost 11 years apart by age, but we were at the same campus during his time in college, he was in UPLB and I was in Maquiling Elementary School. Medyo nagconnect lang kami ng stories because we were both in the same fraternity. But it was such a nice time bonding with my husband, maraming funny stories and common acquaintances. Hanggang yan natapos ko na itong layout ko...

Here's my journaling: I graduated on March 17, 1989…19 years ago, seems like yesterday…I earned my college degree at Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Calamba campus. For 8 long years, Letran became my second home. I was there when the walls were still rough and unpainted. I was there since 1981 where I had my highschool years. So you can just imagine, I practically grew up in this school. I’m a true blooded Letranite!… sa isip, sa salita at sa gawa, sabi ni Fr. Senen Ecleo OP. Personally, it was not a relief for me as I left my school upon graduation, but I’m proud to say that I am a college graduate. I was like a bird thrown in the air, still learning to fly with my wings. Slowly finding my way up and learning what life has in store for me. I landed in the field of auditing and business. My training and my courses helped me somehow in my work, made me confident to face life and live life. Thank you for teaching me the discipline of a Letranite, the knowledge acquired from wisdom and the foundation of my Catholic beliefs. These made me what I am today, for which I am forever grateful!19 years had passed and I can still remember the parting words of our Father Rector Jesse Loreto, OP…”Keep shining as a Letranite wherever you can be!” Arriba Letran!

I used here Cosmo Cricket pps (love notes-always & together again), cardstock, corogated paper, tech. tuesday black ink, colorbox gold ink, prima flowers & build a frame clear stamps, accetate, staz on black ink, metal flowers, fancy pants clear stamps, WRMK precious metal hardware (bookplate & brads), lace, Mambi rubons, acrylic paint, thickers chipboards letter, ranger glossy accents & black pen.

Here's Mara Campell's sketch for the 2nd week of Itty Bitty Scrapshack's Sketch Challenge. I scrapped Enzo's 1st birthday celebration, well still part of my backlog for Enzo's 1st 12x12 scrapbook... here's my interpretation!

I used here DCWV's Nana Kids papers, some cardstocks, fibers, eyelets (which my bestfriend Mae gave me years ago when I was just starting to scrap), a diecut party hat, Ranger's glossy accents, Colorbox chalk ink, and brads. I used my old star puncher which I got from 101 Boutique. I love the lively colors of Nana Kids, it matched the theme of my layout. Thanks for looking guys!

There's a 6 weeks sketch challenge at Itty Bitty Scrapshack.com and last week's sketch was from Tamara, check out her blog for more inspirations. I'm so happy because Mara choose my layout for the shack's Layout of the Week... check it out!

... In your eyes

It has been quite awhile since I last joined an on-the spot challenge, the last that I could remember was the finals of Idol. I was fortunate to attend EBs since January of this year, three months straight imagine! I really wanted to sit down and make a layout, but I feel so helpless scrapping-- away from my scrap pantry, parang hindi ako makakilos thinking that I didn't bring my paper trimmer, chalk ink, this and that! Mabuti na lang at Timi and Che were there to share. I borrowed Timi's paint and paper piercer and Che's glossy accents. Hay! Ow, I won't forget Ems, she gave me a piece of her Sassafras birdie, look Ems nilagay ko yan sa layout ko as promised. The challenge was to use 3 pps from 3 manufacturers, I used here Cosmo Cricket for the base paper, Karen Foster and Prima pps, DMC thread, Terri Martin letter stickers, AC Thickers platform chipboard letters, Sassafras bird, Fancy Pants pin, ribbons and lace, staple wires, versa craft ink and cardstock.

I took a picture of the original layout. I felt I had to do something more to finally finish the page, so kinutingting ko pa ulit. I just wanted to give justice for winning the challenge last Saturday. Congratulations too to Timi and Helga!

My prize from Scrapbukan finally arrived last Friday night. I got a P1t gift certificate for being the runner-up for their MM Noteworthy Challenge last month. My "Together" and "I Love Myself" layouts won the 2nd and 3rd place. Thanks Sahrie for these wonderful stash...

I attended the March EB yesterday together with the rest of the LB Scrapaholics girls. Lasting Impression's Vivian Uy sponsored the event at her store at San Juan. We just dropped our bags and started shopping right away... it was a whole day of shopping, sharing and chatting, as always. Got all these yummy papers and embies... TFL!

It was fun!

Another lift from Cookie!

Yes, here's another scraplift from Cookie Aguilar's "A Story of Us". I just love how cookie made this multiple photo layout, it's my second time to lift her page. I used it now for Miel's baptism page. Miel is my childhood friend Marife and hubby Manny's 1st born and I'm scrapping his 1st scrapbook. I love to scrap baby photos, they are so full of memories and so fun to create. Oh, I also made his baptismal invitations impromptu! Here's my layout...

Round 4: Enzo turns FOUR

It's my final round at Itty Bitty Scrapshack.com, I'm out already for Round 5. But I'm still happy because I made it 'til round 4 and again, going back to my Scrappin' Mom's Idol days, I had really learned a lot! I learned to doodle, to love my own handwriting and to adopt new styles. Cookie is the only Filipina left for the final round, make it good and congratulations for making it this far. And so, here is the story of my round 4 entry...

My youngest son Lorenzo celebrated his 4th birthday last March 1. We had a little party at home and just invited close relatives and his ninangs and ninongs. I thought of scrapping this event for Itty Bitty Scrapshack's Round 4, here's my layout!

We're on the 5th week now and getting ready for the round 4 layout! Boy, it's getting harder and harder each week, but I'm so happy I'm still "in" for 4th round. This week's challenge is to make a single or a spread layout, do stitching, use chipboard, use ink or paints creatively, and include a repetitive element, means taking a shape, character or image and repeat it throughout the layout. I'm still digging my photo files, can't think of what to scrap for this challenge... hmmm, wish me luck!

I'm inviting everyone to come and join us at Itty Bitty Scrapshack, it's fun!
